Oh yeah, those too.
I'm really not that worried about stat bonuses. I'm competent enough at video games that I always manage to beat it with or without any kind of bonus.

I never really rely on bonuses unless they come from the terrain or the weapon.
I like utilizing the speed bonus as well, as it's usually what saves my ungrateful neck. ~Sanaki~

I'm all about the Defense bonus. Speed may help you dodge, but Defense wins championships.

I personally think it shows your skills as a gamer if you can beat a game without any cheats/bonuses. 2nd time around I start using all the cheats I can find though Just for the heck of it.

the 2nd time I play through it, I learn what to do and what not to do.
I also tend to keep my characters at semi-equal levels in order to have them be able to spread out and do more damage. ~Sanaki~

I don't cheat at Fire Emblem unless I absolutely have to. Besides, what's wrong with support conversations and the bonses they give? Even if you went 20/20 on two charcters and have max support between them, Fire Emblem is still plenty challenging. You still have to show some skill and strategy to keep them alive.

Fire Emblem is always pretty challenging, even on "Easy" mode.
it's definitely one of those games where if you make a wrong move, it might be your last. ~Sanaki~

Letting your main character get into a fight you think they can win and hope they do is not good strategy. I should know. That's how I rolled when I first started playing Fire Emblem. I'm smarter about using them now.

Sacred Stones was my first Fire Emblem game, and I'm quite thankful for it because it's soooo easy now. But it gave me a chance to learn the game.

I've been playing since the first one, and each new one since has had something in it that's different from the last one, so I had to almost completely re-learn Fire Emblem each time. It's irritating. edit: fixed the quote tags for you. ;]

I play all the Fire Emblems I have now better than the first time I played each of them.

exactly. and after playing it the 2nd time through, my 3rd tiem was even better than my 2nd, because the more you play those games, the more you learn about them.

But you know, sometimes you just can't help but make some dumb mistakes. It's unavoidable, you know? I really don't like the fact that your healers not only can't attack until they've changed class at least once, but all throughout, they don't have any HP. Oh, sure, they can dodge and gain Defense at higher levels, but even when they've gone 20/20 (in the earlier games) their HP still sucks! And to make matters worse? They're slow, and usually the enemy can get two hits on them, if it even takes that many hits to kill them!
