I'm really not a hardcore gamer, but this is one I'm seriously addicted to. My boyfriend introduced me to them, and although I really can't get past a single chapter of the Sacred Stones without getting stuck, I love it to death!

I like Fire Emblem, too. I miss my copy of the first U.S. FE and so I bought a new one, and wouldn't you know it? It's an international copy, so whenever I turn it on, I have to select either English, German (WTF?), or Spanish. The sucky part about it isn't that I have to select the language, but that I can't use my Action Replay to cheat on it.

But I tried it and LOST Seth IN ONE HITTTTTT What? No way. Lyon, if memory serves, has 60 HP or more. Even with his Strength at max and the attack going critical, there's no way Seth could defeat him with one hit with an Iron Lance! There's just no way. It wouldn't do all that much damage, even with the 3X damage afforded by a critical hit.

Must've already weakened him and just showed you him going after him and taking him out right them is more like it. Lyon isn't such a pansy to be taken out with an Iron Lance. Moreover, why was he using Iron weapons so late in the game? He should have been using Silver or Killer weapons at that point.

Which Lyon was it? You fight Lyon twice, if memory serves me correctly.
The first time you fight Lyon, he was pretty easy. For me, Seth was kind of weak in the end, mainly because he already starts off promoted. If you can get Amelia, Ewan, or Ross trained up and promoted to the final level, they should be some of your best characters since they can get some more stat bonuses.
I'm just curious, but how on earth do you pronounce L'Arachel? .... That's a pretty weird name...

You only fight "Lyon" as "Lyon" once. You fight the Demon Lord afterward.
And I say La Rachael.

No. You fight him twice. Once in chapter 17 and the final chapter. I just played the game again recently and double-checked on gamefaqs.

Mmh. Well, whatever. She's talking about the Final Chapter, and he's a b**** then, so taking him out with an Iron Lance is impossible.

Haha, I'm totally bumping this...
I LOVE FE.
I played and beat Sacred Stones. (Seth and Eirika got married!) and now I'm playing the one that has no second title. Eliwood, Hector, and Lyn.
This one's much harder, but I'm on Chapter 30. My boyfriend beat it. He keeps telling me, "It's so easy!" and I die, like, 20 times before I get it.
Yup, I'm a dork.

Full S rank support relationships, full possible masteries.
Amelia is the only red General, it's pretty cool.

I love the first U.S. Fire Emblem. And concreteangel, the first U.S. Fire Emblem DOES have a second title. In Japan, it's called Rekka No Ken. Anyway, I like that game better because it's longer and it has Lyndis *Heart eyes*. She's my favorite Fire Emblem character. Though, the playable characters of Path of Radiance are all pretty cool, too. Elincia is so pretty *Heart eyes*.

Yes. I loved Fire Emblem for the GBA. I know it's not the first one in the series, but the first one to be localized for America. Such an awesome strategy game. It was tough as nails, and I had to check some strategy guides for tips becuase the game is hard if you are a newb to the series. After I beat the game I had this warm rewarding feeling. The second game wasn't that great though. I didn't like the story and the characters, so I never really finished it.
