The Zutara Capfic Cruise!!!

Maha put her hostess hat on. Yes a real hat that looked a little like a doily.

"Would you like chai spiced?"



"Or mexican?"



"Or classic?"

Bagpipe meandered around the deck of the ship, greeting the people she hadn't seen yet, when she smelled the hot chocolate.
She walked quickly over to Maha and helped her to distribute the cocoa to the gathering crowd.

[Pixar]

Pixar raised her hand cheerfully. "I'll have a classic, and Zuko here will have chai spiced! 'Cause he's spicy." She elbowed Zuko in the ribs, laughing at her own joke. Her laughter died down awkwardly. "Why does no one get my jokes?"

[bagpipe turtle]

Bagpipe handed Pixar a cup of classic cocoa, telling her, "Don't worry, I got that joke." She giggled a little bit before giving Zuko his chai spiced.

[Pixar]

Pixar accepted the chocolate appreciatively. "Why thank you Bagpipe. You understand." She took a tip before adding, "Unlike some people..." She gave a hard stare at Zuko, who was unphased.

"Awww, Pixar," Luthien remarked, "I love your jokes!" Zuko scowled a bit and made a noise that vaguely sounded like "Hmph!" under his breath, but Luthien smiled and patted Pixar on the back. "One thing I don't love, though, is being cold, so I'm off to grab my parka, too!"

Re-emerging on the deck a few minutes later with the poofiest blue parka you've ever seen, Luthien finished putting on her gloves and pulled the parka's hood over her head. "Good thing we've got Firebenders on board, huh? Wait... hey, look on that glacier! Is that an arctic fox?"

Sokka ran over to the side of the ship to take a look, seeing as how he was the resident "hunter" and could identify South Pole animals. "Nah, too short!" he said, then added, "and way too fuzzy. And look! It doesn't even have a tail!"

"Really?" Luthien asked. Then she did something crazy. She started lowering one of the smaller boats on the side of the ship towards the water, motioning a guard to help her out. "I'm going to go check this out!" The guard gave her a look like he thought she was nuts, but he went along anyway, and soon Lu was paddling the smaller boat out to the glacier.

She could hear people calling out from the ship, "Lu! What the heck do you think you're doing? Have you lost your mind?" But she was so close to the little animal she couldn't stop now, and when she saw it she realized what it was...

"Corgi!" Lu exclaimed. "Will you be my friend, buddy? There's a ship up there with a party going on and we'd love to have you, too! Want to come along?" The short, but sturdy dog nodded his head, then barked and smiled. "Ok, little guy, let's get going!"

Luthien loaded the noble beast (aka the Corgi) onto her boat and paddled back to the ship. After being brought up by the guards (who certainly were earning their pay), Lu stood on the deck, holding up the fuzzy animal, and declared:

"This is my new friend, and he wants to travel with us. I shall name him Pecan, the Zutarian dog!"

Pixar ran out to greet Luthien and Pecan, the Zutarian dog, on the deck.

"Oh, he's ADORABLE, Lu!" she cooed, patting Pecan on the head affectionately. "Hm...I feel a sort of...connection. A Zen bond. I feel that we, you and me, Pecan, will become...THE ZUTARIAN DREAM TEAM! We'll make posters and buttons and pencils with your name stamped on them..." She shook Luthien's hand energetically, much like an over-enthusiastic businessperson.

Maha gave Pecan a chai-spiced hot cocoa and the beautiful hound from heaven lapped it up directly. Looking up the Zutarian dog appeared to have a white beard and mustache.

"Twinsies!" Yelled Iroh.

"Triplettesies!" Yelled J.J.

Everyone looked at the old firebending master and he blushed, shuffling away to see what Chibi was up to.

"Aw, Pecan is the cutest dog any ship could hope for!" Bagpipe remarked, watching the adorable dog drink some chai cocoa.

OT: Jeez, I forgot about the bash! *smacks forehead*

Kuno sees Pecan and squeels. "It's the Zutarian dog!" She runs over and snuggles Pecan's soft fur. "Sorry I"m late guys!" She sees Maha over by the drinks. She walks over. "Hi Maha! Can I have a hot cocoa? With Lots of marshmellows!"

"Certainly!" Maha graciously handed over a steaming mug.



Pecan jumped at Maha and was rewarded with a second cup of hot cocoa. Mexican this time.

[The Blue Chibi]

Chibi sat curled in a window seat, sipping her hot cocoa and watching the aurora australis as she thought of what a long, exhausting day it had been. She wasn't sure where this ship was headed next, but it had been a fine voyage so far, and she was in it for the long haul. Looking out over the water, she saw some wild dogseals barking and splashing nearby, and off in the distance, she thought she could see the mist of a giant beaverwhale spout. She wondered how they could withstand such cold waters in what seemed to her an unforgiving climate.

Perhaps, she thought, since they're used to it, it doesn't even bother them at all; they probably don't even notice it. But then she thought of the occasional winter storm that came, nearly obscuring everything in its blinding white blizzard before the wind dropped and the choppy gray waters of the harbor became safe again. I was made for warmer climates, she thought, taking another sip of her hot cocoa. It's nice to visit, but I could never live here.

She and JJ had danced through the night until their feet were sore, laughing as they tried to learn the new moves the younger people had been teaching them. Later, they had sat down with everybody at a midnight spaghetti feast, and all the guests chatted with each other, making new friends and catching up with old ones as they twirled the long noodles on their forks. It was a special Fire Nation recipe, and no one there had ever tried the saucy, spicy blend before, but they all complimented the chef profusely on a job well done.

Her cocoa finished, Chibi got up from the window seat and stretched, glad to face a new day. After a shower and a nap, she figured, she'd be ready to pull out a good book and enjoy some peace and quiet in her cabin before the ship reached its next exciting destination.

After her first exciting day on the Zutarian Cruise (which included a kidnapping, flirting with Sokka, cocoa, rowing out to a glacier, and the adoption of a new pet), Luthien finally decided to retire to her bunk and check out the accomodations.

Tip-toeing quietly through the corridors (careful not to wake all the people slumbering in a cocoa-induced stupor), she finally arrived at her cabin. Opening the door with one hand, while holding Pecan in her other arm, she marveled at the sight before her. The cabin was luxurious! The room was adorned with symbols from the Fire Nation and the Water Tribe, all arranged in harmony with each other. On one wall hung two banners, side by side - one of them the red banner of the Fire Nation with its stylized black flame, the other the blue standard of the Water Tribe with its crescent moon and water lines. All the furniture was engraved with the ancient symbols of Firebending and Waterbending, and the sheets were a soothing shade of purple, symbolizing the unity of the two nations.

Looking to one corner, Lu noticed someone thoughtful had already installed a crate so Pecan would have his own little area to rest. The tired Zutarian doggie was in the middle of a cocoa stupor of his own, so Lu carefully placed him in his crate so he could sleep off his cocoa hangover.

Lu patted the little doggie one more time, then noticed something hanging around his neck. Upon further investigation she noticed it was a collar emblazoned with the words: "Pecan and Pixar - THE DREAM TEAM!" "That didn't take long," Luthien remarked to herself as she bade her new pup sweet dreams.

Climbing into her comfy bed, she looked out the window of her cabin and thought about this day. What fun she'd already had - and the voyage had just begun. She figured she should get some rest now - because who knew what kind of adventure would be up next!

Surreal, who was in her cozy cabin, was reading her favorite book when a growl came from no where. She looked around to see where the mysterious noise came from. Surreal let out a giggle when she realized where the sound came from - her stomach.

Realizing that she didn't have anything to eat in a while, Surreal snuck out of her room and walked quietly through the corridors. On her way to the galley for a snack, she stopped on the deck to look at the night sky which was filled with twinkling stars.

A loud growl interrupted Surreal's star-gazing. Captivated by the night sky's beauty, Surreal completely forgot about her hunger. With that, she returned to her quest to find something delicious to fulfill her empty stomach.

Finally, Surreal arrived at the galley to find none other than "The Dragon of the West" cooking up a pot of jook.

"Hello, Iroh. Can I have some of whatever you are cooking up?"

"Sure, you can, but I don't think you'll like it," Iroh replied.

"I'll try some. It looks great," said Surreal with a grin.

With that said, Iroh got both Surreal and himself a bowl of jook, and the duo talked about the cruise so far and how they looked forward to tomorrow's events.

The cocoa Maha had given her was delicious and it relaxed her. Soon Kuno found herself curled up on a lounge chair looking up at the stars. After a while, she got up and went to her cabin for a night's rest. The next day would be full of fun and partying!
