Lol. Here we go with my stupid little incites. First of all it is the Pledge of Allegiance. Sorry, Grammar Nazi. Anywho, in my opinion, it should stay the same. Of course you have your beliefs and others have theirs, but why take something out of what has already been here for years. You've already taken the Bible out of public schools. It's just like taking evolution out of science. And I'm not a big fan of evolution. I would rather be created by God then believe in something so corny. Give me a break.... You have to have more faith to believe in that than God, anyway. The most plausible religion that people cling to now is either Atheism or being an Agnostic. What is so special about you anyway, no, I'm not flaming, just trying to prove a point. Lol. It's sort of sad how people take away something we have loved for such a long time and completely throw it away. It's like a slap in the face. And NO! You don't have to be this stuck up, churchy, sinister bast**** to believe in God. But when you think about it, how can we believe in most of scientific things? Evolution is still a theory. Unless you can REALLY prove it to me. First off, the bible was never exactly taken out of public schools because the bible was never “put” into public schools in the first place. The founding fathers, particularly Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin came up with the idea of a government-funded public school system – a system that would greatly improve access to education “without religious bias.” Any school that had the bible is either privately funded by churches or on occasions "later" added to the cirriculum depending on the decisions of the local communities (or state). But as far as I know the federal government never instilled religious teachings into the public education. (though if anyone has more details on that, by all means bring it up) And this topic has absolutely nothing to do with issue of teaching evolution. And judging by the insight you’ve provided, I’m assuming you don’t even much about the evolutionary theory. However if you wish to discuss the issue of evolution I suggest you make another thread. I dare you.And just wondering, who's this "you" that you're were referring to?

Education in the begining had the bible as a text book. It has been taken out of the public school sytems now to where you cant take it to school (at least where i live) The more our country improved, the more that church and state were seperated.

No I was just proving a point to myself. My post was pretty much nothing to do with every other post, except the pledge part....
And what I was trying to prove was correct.
I have no further need to go on with my posts in this section. And I really have no need to be dared to make a post for something really stupid, no offense. I'm not here to flame, just give my opinion. Also, what Sakoi said is true.
The "you" I was referring to is a figure of speech. Haha.
If I have offended you, I'm sorry. But honestly, I have no need to ever give apologies over the internet unless I was discriminating you or something. <3

I did not insult, Lol.
But if I insulted YOU then I had no mean to.
We believe what we want just to get us by every morning, I guess. I only get hot-headed sometimes when people disgrace God. So it would be sort of fair for me to par up with my opinion. I just need to NOT get offended and put my pieces on the right squares.

And the fact that they dont teach creationism in public school si sjust crazy! They teach evolutionism, but not creationism, in my opinion you should have a choice.*I know I got off topic on that last note, sorry*

Yes, you are right. We are sort of getting off topic too, so let's get back to the topic. And you're cool, Sakoi. I think I just made a friend.

If anything, it's unconstitutional to force people to say the pledge at all. And from my experience we never said the pledge in the morning until after 9/11. The entire pledge itself doesn't really do anything. It's a minute part of the mundane routine kids go through at school. It's not conducive to learning, nor does it magnificently inspire anyone to make a great change; it's just a custom most of us blow through so we can get start to get our day over with.
Imo, it's all pretty pointless...

Funny thing is, I never really cared about the Pledge, just the fact that everyone wants God out of it. Hmm..I wonder why.... Anyway. Truth be told, what I think about it is that it's some sort of ritualistic saying, like they do in cults, "Eat babies, eat babies, eat babies," etc. Lol . Or something along those lines.

Well, IMHO...
ALL religion should either be allowed to be celebrated publically, or NO religion should be allowed publically.
By putting "Under God" in the Pledge, equality is represented quite poorly.
I'm all for taking it out just because I think religion itself is as political as it gets. Religion's caused far too many wars and problems in our world. Either allow everyone to celebrate it legally with no discrimination, or allow nobody to show their religion in public.
Sorry, but that's the way I feel.

Mm, good point^. I do think it's a little awkward to tell a Jewish boy he can't wear his Yarmulka, or an Islamic girl that she can't wear her hijab in a public school despite upholding "Under God" in the pledge just because this nation was founded on "religious freedom."
