Looooong time no post . Anyways. I'm not happy. I know it's unrealistic to expect myself to like anything as much as I loved ATLA, but this just broke my heart. As some have said, it was rushed and confusing and I'm sad about the severing of the past lives bit. But I think the biggest thing that bothered me was that Korra's joining of the physical and spirit worlds sorta overshadows everything that happened in the original series, and I'm irritated that the issues of the show I liked better that had in my opinion better characters, better development, etc...seem insignificant in the light of something as huge as the end of the avatar cycle as we knew it and the joining of two worlds. I think Aang was a much more remarkable, interesting, and likeable character than Korra so overall I'm just disappointed. Also, if the two worlds become one, then there's no division, and that just doesn't make sense to me. What then, is death? What makes the difference between a mortal and a spirit? And how come everyone can see spirits now but only Jinora could before? Does this mean the spirits of previous avatars are wiped out or can they just run around on earth like everyone else now? I dunno. I think the separation of the two was sorta crucial to upholding the whole concept and now I'm just lost. Having said all this though, I will admit that I'm extremely biased and my opinions may not be valid, so I welcome disagreement. I feel like I'm saying a lot of this just out of bitterness, but I can't help it .

In terms of action, this is definitely my favorite episode so far. I agree, seeing the gaang bloodbended, especially Aang when Yakone was about to kill him, made me want to cry. I was so happy to see them all again though. It was a real treat to see a whole scene with all of them as adults. I do feel bad for Asami though. She didn't do anything to deserve this, and it's kind of like adding insult to injury after everything that happened with her dad. Who does she have to turn to now? I'm sorta hoping that Korra will do something unselfish/noble and let Asami have him. In any case, with that finale preview, does that mean there's no new episode next week? I thought there were supposed to be 14 this season O.o

Guess every form of specialized bending that we saw in TLA is now covered. Now we get to see new stuff? I'm beginning to think that the council members are just being bloodbended by Tarlock. They always go with whatever he says... I never even thought of that! But then, why wouldn't he bloodbend Tenzin as well? He obviously has some kind of control over the others that he doesn't have over Tenzin though. Yay for a preview! I'm so excited to see her connect with Aang at last. Maybe the only way out of the cell will be airbending or something.

Part 2 is out! -link removed- I loved it. Who would've thought Aang's fanclub would be so useful? I did feel bad for Katara the whole time though, Aang is so oblivious sometimes. The earth v. fire war thing should be very interesting when part 3 comes out. I was very surprised when Kuei announced that he wanted to "be a man" and attack O.o. Did not see that one coming. Toph's little group of students is hilarious though, especially Penga with her crush on Sokka lol. I hope this isn't all we'll ever see of them, but I'm not sure how they'll fit into the rest of the plot, either. -- I'm sorry, but please don't link to sites viewing the entire comic. Members can post 2-3 page previews, but not more than that. Thank you. ~Musogato.

This may be completely silly of me, but sometimes I almost think Korra will be just friends with both Mako and Bolin in the end and Bryke is just playing the fandom by setting up the opposing ships. Probably not how it'll end up, but it's just a thought and like some others, I'd almost prefer it that way at this point. I find romance is almost always better when it's not a/the main part of the plot for some reason.

I think Aang may have been murdered, by either Tarrlock or a relative of Tarrlock. It would be crazy if Tarrlock's father (who I'm sure was a politician) had murdered Aang and then been behind the construction of Aang's memorial monument. (I bet if Aang could see that giant statue of himself he would HATE it! It's so gaudy!) While I do think Yakone/Tarrlok/relative of Tarrlok may have played a role in Aang's death, it can't have been a quick kill because in the "Welcome to Republic City" game, it said somewhere that "when Aang realized his health was failing, he instructed the white lotus to keep Korra safe while she mastered the elements" or something along those lines. Then again, would Bryke really give Aang such a cruel ending seeing as he was the main character of ATLA and a very loved one at that? It's very tricky to say, I suppose, but we shall see. As for the statue, it's hard to say who built it, but yeah, I don't think Aang would've liked it all that much. He's too modest.

Oh my. I did not see any of this coming O.o. The whole thing is so much more complex than just good v. evil and I'm loving it. When Tarrlok said "there are a lot of things you don't know about me" I thought he might be Kya's son (though upon reflection I think that's a bit farfetched) that or related to Hama? Or I suppose he could've just figured it out on his own. Or maybe he tried using Katara/her abilities to get to Aang somehow. Or maybe he was part of the reason Aang died so young, I'm sure there are many bodily functions you can mess up with bloodbending. But again, that's a bit farfetched. Still, it's fun to speculate. I really hope Bolin, Mako and Asami get out of jail so they can find Korra. Or maybe while in captivity she'll finally be able to connect with Aang and get into the avatar state and escape that way. One week suddenly seems so long!

I too thought all the shipping was a little forced. That being said, it certainly didn't ruin the episode for me. I was cracking up through the whole thing, especially with Bolin's "So, we're alone...all alone...just you and me..." lmao. Also, did anyone else notice how literal the love triangle was in the beginning with the huddle? I wonder if they did that on purpose. I've always been bigger on character development than plot development to be honest, so despite the rush of shipping, this was definitely my kind of episode. Aside from Bolin's many adorable moments though, my favorite part was definitely Jinora and Ikki's romantic advice x). I love Tenzin's family <3 But I totally wanted to cry when Bolin walked in on Mako and Korra kissing . Now I really don't know what to expect from the rest of the season shipping-wise though, since all the shipping we saw in the previews just happened in this one ep O.o. Though that's probably smart on Bryke's part because now it isn't as seemingly predictable. Tahno reminds me of Draco Malfoy lol. Though I am curious to see how he can take other teams out so easily. He can't just be a pretty boy.

Awww, Bolin! This is killing me. I liked Kataang so much because it was what made Katara and (more obviously) Aang happy and above everything, I love seeing my favorite characters happy. But it seems like with either Makorra or Borra someone is gonna end up sad . If Borra is the end result, Mako may be jealous-ish and Korra might not be satisfied. But if Makorra is the end result, we see a sad Bolin like in the latest epi and that just broke my heart. So I'm really stuck here.

Oh wow, I liked this show before, but this episode really got me hooked. It's nice to see a more multi-faceted Korra admitting that she has fears like a normal person instead of just rushing into things head on. And even though I'm pretty sure Mako/Korra will happen in the end, I can't help but think she and Bolin are adorable with his little cupcake and "You saved me!" thing. He's like a puppy! That whole part cracked me up. I definitely think Asami is using Mako to get to Korra, and I see her as being sort of Jet-like figure (winning Katara's affection through his looks and then betraying her, using the whole "I lost my parents too" sort of thing as a sympathy card). There are so many similarities. I could definitely see Hiroshi Sato as maybe being indebted to the equalists in some way, though I don't think he was trying to tie Mako up with anything nasty by loaning him money. However, I can certainly see his past with the loan coming back to haunt him and Amon threatening to shut him down if he/Asami don't try to get to Korra through Mako or something. But I don't think Sato himself is looking to hurt anyone. I think he may be more of a pawn to Amon if anything, unable to escape because of debt or a deal or some sort. Maybe that's where Amon gets all his fancy technology, like Teo's dad and The Fire Nation maybe? And I was so excited to see the old characters all grown up! Now I'm really curious as to who they were fighting in that flashback and what the whole story behind it was. Ghaa, cliffhangers.

Bison. They can fly! Humiliation or physical injury? (if they were of the same severity)

I would also like a planned ending. I wouldn't want this to run on like certain animes where the quality just goes down the tube after too many seasons and crazy twists. I also just enjoy going through things with a "goal" of sorts in mind, I think it makes it easier to follow and actually more suspenseful in a sense too. I also wouldn't want Korra to run too long and overshadow the original ATLA. I like the idea of 2 seasons of 12-13 episodes or so.

Yeah, but Aang was one of the youngest air nomads to master the element, so he was an exception. I think mid-teens is the average age for bending mastery, avatars and Tophs and such are kind of protegees, so I think it makes sense that Jinora doesn't have her tattoos yet. Yeah, I can see Tarrlok being sorta like the Boss Tweed of Republic City :/. Which is interesting, because in ATLA all the waterbenders were good guys so this should be a nice change of pace. If that's true, then I would definitely guess him to be one of the "sources" of the equalists' anger.

I loved this! I wonder when they'll let you unlock the next part though >.> And lol, yeah, Tenzin is a bit old for Pema, but meh, it happens in real life and works out, so it isn't the end of the world. I wanted to cry when Katara's description talks about how she misses Aang "terribly" though ='(. I'm also curious as to what the deal with Jinora and the "interest in boys" is haha. She's a little young for a boyfriend, but her having a crush or something would be adorable ;D But yeah, I thought it was great to finally get to know exactly how old everyone was and exactly what happened in the construction of Republic City. It'll definitely tide me over to the third episode!
