Noted? Both Konan and Pein are answering to Tobi/Madara in chapter 364 pgs 15-18 as a leader. Tobi is telling them to gather the other members and tell them to proceed with capturing their jinchuriki. That was a direct order.
So I am going to say that Pein and Konan are second in command. Which would also mean that Tobi/Madara is far more powerful than either of them both.

If Pein could take down Hanzo, who was so good that the three sannin were battered, what does this say about Jiraya?
Also, Pein never lost a match, although I like to think he kills little genin/chunnins xD.
Even though Hanzo was older, he was also well armed, and he lost to Pein?! Does our Jiraya stand a chance?

Agreed Horyo.. I am hanging by a thread here with the feeling that the J-man's days are limited Sadly, he is my second favorite character of the entire series. I hate to see him go, but at least if it does happen, it's in an honorable way.

Pein may have never lost a match before, but that doesn't mean he will continue to gather up more victories. It will eventually come to an end by someone's hands. I think Jiraiya may go out in an honorable way fighting Pein, sad to see the Perverted Hermit go down.

I would be delighted to see the J-man take Pein down.. but do we really need him to die in the process?
The progression of the story shows that all things come to pass- eventually. One generation is successful until the next one surpasses it. We already have seen the foreshadowing of Team 7 being the next group of San-nin- each member taught by the respective San-nin they resemble most.

To stay on track, I believe Akatasuki may never obtain the nine tail fox. Especially if two different parts of it are in different bodies (just my interpretation). The extraction of Shukaku was merely an illustration to show what happens when the Bijuu is removed from the host body. This particular tailed beast may be special in a way, that even if Akatsuki does capture Naruto, the process will be a hella lot more difficult than what it was with Shukaku and may very well fail.

I'm not sure that is the case. Something could be amiss in the translation.. but from reading a bunch of different spoiler translations, it seems that the Kyuubi's chakra was split into two, but of them both (Yin and Yang/ Dark and Light chakra) are sealed within Naruto. He is able to control and use the light. While the dark he has no control over and that is when the Kyuubi comes out in the 9 tail form.

A bit confused, but let me see if I can sort this. If the two halves are able to be merged, then Naruto would be able to have proper control over the dark portion.

Or maybe he isn't Obito at all. We're all assuming he is, even though everything points to him being Obito. I dont want to believe it, but they are saying he is Madara now. Its sad because I never noticed how there hair is EXACTALLY THE SAME! I feel a little oblivious. Itachi is confusing at the moment. I wish they would just show whats up already, but it is cool to finally see Madara's face and know who Naruto's mom and dad were, even though there are no pics of his mom. Just spikes my interest. Can Itachi join fources with the good guys, after all that happened? |

Who is saying Obito is Madara now? I have only seen it written in theories.. not in the actual manga.
As for Itachi.. who knows what he is up to. If he is going to switch sides, who is going to believe or welcome him back? It's similar to Sasuke.. after all he has, will he really ever be accepted back into Konoha? Does he really ever want to go back there anyhow?

*headdesk* I meant Tobi...I got confused with theories.
That would be really unbelieve able. But I can picture him joining the good side, then Sasuke killing him while his back is turned. but I dont really think that is in Itachi's character. He had to be a cold blooded killer...right? I guess its possible though.
Yeah, he does have a lot of power now. If he went to Konoha he would probably be arrested too.

Then I guess she changed the color because she wanted to look different and be disguised or maybe the anime just colored it black at the time they made this episode since Kishi probably didn't specify on the color and the manga isn't colored period.
Heh, I remember no one cared about Jiraiya's team and now they will....
