I'm only thirteen. But when my aunt was watching it with me last summer, she was awestruck it was a kid show. " Wow the story is so complex" " the words are so advanced for little kids" Those were some of the comments she made

I'm only 13, too. However, my parents just seem to be so out the loop. They couldn't care less, actually. It doesn't matter how may times that I tell them that plenty of adults like it, they don't understand. They don't even seem to get the plot (Maybe they just weren't paying attention... ) So anyway, I'm glad that SOME adults enjoy Avatar for the awesome show that it is. It annoys me that people label it as a "kid show" without watching it.

Uh... 34. Avatar (other than some anime) is seriously the best animated series right now. My wife may think I'm strange, but she doesn't say anything. Some of my students got me into it btw. I guess I tie for oldest poster here.

25. And even though I've always been a cartoon watcher (that includes anime), Avatar is THE best show on Nick. It seems like it's not meant for little kids, but for Teens and Adults. That's one of the reasons I love this show.

I think you really ought to have made this a poll, so your question could be answered for newcomers to the thread with one easy viewing.

Yay for Nand! Although, I find it hard to believe that you've been drinking Coke since 1929 Well...I haven't been drinking it that long, in fact, I don't actually drink it at all...I'm a Pepsi person But there are advantages to being a childlike adult...you can afford to buy the related merchandise. And considering I have to get everything imported, that can cost me a pretty penny.

Give me a couple of months, and I'll join this little club here.
My siblings both watch it, one of whom is over 20, and my dad'll watch it when it's on (to be fair, he'll watch anything that's on, especially if others are), but it seems to cause my mother physical pain, lol.

My dad and I used to watch Batman: The Animated Series together every Saturday morning, but I don't know if he'd get Avatar...and he'd probably wonder why my favourite character is one of the bad guys...

Come now...you know you don't ask a lady her age...she's only going to lie Lol, I had a feeling you would say something like that. It was worth a try though.

Come now...you know you don't ask a lady her age...she's only going to lie rofl. ... and then kill and eat you. Besides, it's a lot more fun to play clever guessing games to estimate someone's age. Like: What was the first movie you saw in the theater?

rofl. ... and then kill and eat you. It's how we retain our youth and beauty... Can't remember...but the first thing I saw at a drive in was a double feature of Dumbo and Mary Poppins...but they were ancient even then...

Ya know it makes me sad that adults who watch cartoons are said to be immarutre or weird. What when I turn 18 I'm supposed to be boring un fun and lock my inner child off in a closet. I mean come on I can enjoy a cocktail and watch avatar at the same time (thats actually very nice) I don't understand why to be seen as productive adults have to be boring and without imgation. If thats whats being an adult is about well then you can call me a big kid I don't care.lol I love cartoons, video games, and other "childish stuff" and thats not going to change.
