Hey Patoliver and Andain, I'd just like to say Welcome to DH! I'm one of the resident dinosaurs on here, (39) it's always great to see some other people of the "older" generation, that love the show! This place is a lot of fun and I'm sure you both will enjoy yourselves! You are now among the OFA, Old Fart Avatards! lol! Hope to see you guys around the boards! Spirit

And I'm getting to the point where I'm an older avatar fan.lol 22 and I still love the show and I always will. if I ever have kids I will show it to them. Avatar is kinda like those cartoons that are timeless ones that will always be good and will out last the sponge bob type shows in popularity.

me, my husband, & our biz partner get together for 'art jam' days, which usu. involve us gathered in the living room & watching avatar & drawing. & we're all 30+ old foggies. actually i've read through some of the other threads on here, like what kind of embarassing avatar moments you've had, & i can't believe @ the amount of peer pressure a kid goes through nowadays, even off of something as trivial as watching avatar. well, it may be because i don't go to school where kids can be cruel jerks. i just don't get it. avatar has outstanding animation, well conceived plot lines (several of them that often cross pathes), continuity (each episode builds off of previous episodes), characters that grow & evolve as the show progresses, & great attention to detail like correct martial arts moves & actual chinese characters for writting. to me, avatar is 1 of the smartest shows around @ the moment. just because it's on nick doesn't make it stupid. just because it's animated doesn't make it stupid. i'd go as far as to say it beats out smallville, because the past few seasons of smallville have been seriously sucking. so maybe avatar writers need to help the smallville writers out?

Yes, Im a fellow ancient who picked up watching Avatar because it happened to be on the tv on Saturday mornings here in Malaysia. I do wish it had gotten as popular here as spongebob. Darn!

I'm totally addicted and can't wait for the new season. The TV Guide article was very good. My grandkids, 8 and 2 love it. That;s how I got started. I own all the boxed sets. I bought them for my granddaughter. It's an amazing show full of so many lessons to learn. My daughter is 32, I'm 60!
WOOHOO!!!!

I am 26 and I love the show. I know a few of my friends from work also watch it, and a couple of them are older than me.
Though I am an animation nut to begin with and I watch all kinds of stuff that most folks would consider out of my "age bracket".
