You know, I'll have to take a look at some of those episodes and see if that is the cause. The first time it really struck me was in 'The Invasion", and I really noticed it in WAT and The Firebending Masters. I still think her personality has undergone a change though. I actually liked her in season two... Anyway, regarding shipping (and therefore more on topic ![:))](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cheesy.png) , does anyone think there is any chance of everyone in the gaang going their seperate ways after the finale? Or is it practically inevitable that they be paired up?

Actually, Katara hasn't changed much. The Zuko mocking was about on the same level as the Toph mocking in The Chase. Yeah...Katara can be a mean-spirited little...ahem...when the mood takes her

Katara's just becoming a woman. We all know what the makes girls act like. Once the PMS wears off she and Zuko can have a talk/battle.

Man, so many warnings by so many mods. Maybe I should change my plans a little... -puts flame thrower away- Anyway I just wanted to say that Katara's death threat was the best indirect Kataang moment ever. Now if only Aang and Katara would get around to talking about their kiss... Hopefully I'm not bashing. ![:-X](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/lipssealed.png) To me, that moment felt more like a motherly moment. Not romantic. That scene whith Katara and Zuko seemed like the most Zutara forewhadowing since the Cave in the Crossroads of Destiny. Yah Katara seems to be acting like a -itch around Zuko. But it's probably because she doesn't trust him, I don't blame her, but to a certain exstent. Me on the other hand, I just treat just about anyone with respect.

But what I would like to know is how is that zutara foreshadowing she just threated to kill him. Last time I checked good relationships weren't built on death threats. There usually built on how much you love/care for the other human.

I think it's that fine line between love and hate thing... No it's not. In this case, there's light years between love and hate. Katara genuinely hates Zuko. This isn't some romantic comedy

Sounds to me like you've simply never been in such a situation, which is fine; for each of us here, however, there are aspects of life we've never experienced and on which we could not therefore elaborate. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

....I really have no idea what you're saying.
Like I said, there is not a think line between love and hate in this case
......foreshadowing what? That Katara will kill Zuko if he steps outta line?

Okay: if you've experienced emotions like that, then you'll know what nan's talking about. If you haven't ever been in such a situation, then you won't get what she's saying. And that's not a bad thing; there are things you've gone through that I haven't, and so I couldn't possibly talk like I know about how that feels. Having gone through relationships like that, I can assure you, it does happen. And neither one is better, they just fit different personalities. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

You've gone through relationships where one party *seriously* threatened to kill the other party?

The whole love/hate concept can really confuse people, though it has a very long history in literature and film. For those people who really want to understand the dynamic better, I would suggest watching "A Streetcar Named Desire", and looking at the tension between Vivien Leigh's character and Marlon Brando's character. They're obviously attracted to one another, but they can't be together, so they fight bitterly. Gone with the Wind (the book), also features two characters that have very passionate feelings for one another, but who don't always express their feelings in positive ways.
Love/hate relationships are a cinematic classic; they're dramatic, and passionate, hot headed, and demand the viewer's attention. But in life, they often evolve into something a little calmer as time goes on. In Avatar, a Zutarian relationship could start as a love/hate relationship, and change into something else later on.

I don't think Katara really hates Zuko, though. She hates the angry emo idiot that chased them all over the world and tried to kill Aang. She was perfectly comfortable with the CoD-Zuko. Once she's realized he's actually changed I think she'll warm up to him.
