First off, saying Wikipedia is the second most unreliable site is like saying New York City has the most crime in the world. Sure, it's somewhat famous for crime, but there are much more remote places with more drastic crime. (I wouldn't put it past certain people to put information like that on wikipedia, though.)
Anyway, I honestly would not mind if the series ended. It's sad to see such a good show go, but all good things must come to an end. Preferably when it's still good.
That being said, since Toph is my favorite character, I kinda feel like she didn't get enough screen time compared to the other main characters. I think a new show where the characters are initially split up and a few join back together could be quite interesting.

I'd say Zuko's family's past can be explored so much more, and there was absolutely no closure with Zuko's mom, which for me equals = ZUKO SPINOFF pleasepleaseplease
And I want to see more airbenders too that would be nice ^_^

Wow this sucks as soon as i join this site.... AVATAR ENDS! Anyways i think that somesort of spin off or a continuation is NESSCARY, so many questions left unanswered, so much more could be added to the series! I just hope m + b expand the series because to me it is not enough !

There is the possibility that they did that on purpose, leaving the end kinda lose for the movies ( i really doubt it but its possible) But the series just ended a few days ago, and they may not say anything about a new series, or spinoff no matter how much petitioning goes on for awile yet. So its best to wait until they say something, that we know is true.
and grimwolfy welcome to the forum^^

Agreed. While the co-creators have said in interviews that they aren't "done" with the Avatar universe yet and still have ideas, we won't know for sure if there will be future Avatar shows or what they'll be about until it's announced. If anything, people going to the San Diego Comic Con next weekend should ask about it if the Nickelodeon reps doesn't already have news concerning it prepared. And that depends if both Nick and Viacom have the money to propose continuation of the series, but also maybe this heads up if this seems reasonable enough because avatar fan named badmoon10(on KataangForever) had met with one of the animators of the show and has mention something that is going to be a possible specials to this show, please make notes this conversation might give you guys some ideas, "I told him how the finale was incredible and how much the fans liked it. I told him there were a couple unanswered questions that I wish were answered and he told me to "shoot them at me". "
"I asked why we never got to see Aang tell Katara he loved her and about the chakra. He replied "The way we saw it, Aang was never going to tell Katara about the chakra, he loves her to much to make her feel bad about something like that. As for them saying that they love each other, we decided to do that in symbolism and actions instead of words." He paused and then said: "At the end of the finale when Katara kisses Aang and the camera zooms out, we tried to make it look, and symbolize, a kiss that the bride and groom have at the end of the wedding. That kiss wasn't just a kiss, it was also foreshadowing of a wedding or a bond between the two." When he told me that, I asked why they didn't just do an epilogue. He said "We wanted to leave everything open so we could pick up where we left off if we decided to. But there also may be some episodes in the future. Specials, maybe on Aang and Kataras children." I told him there was one more thing I had to ask him before he leaves and that was; So this is the last time we will see the gaang on a show together? He said "Anything is possible, especially since the show was so popular. Dont get your hopes up, but I wouldn't be surprised if they changed their minds and did a season four. A month ago there was a 0% chance of a season four, but the way every ones been reacting to the end, its definitely a possibility. We may see the group together again in animated form, not just the movies." "
"As he was walking away I yelled back so were you Kataang or Zutara? He yelled back; "Tokka!" Haha. Thought Id share this all with you."and again not sure if this seems legal to talk about Musogato, but I justwanted to get a fair warning on it I guess, since most of our avatar fans are depressed at this time.

We'll just have to cross our fingers ^^ Well lets just prey that Viacom and Nick have the money to budget the specials to this as well as the Iroh Spinoff, besides it looking at the basics as I said before Season 3 did not get as many viewers, well giving Direct TV and Dish Network don't work on Nielsen reports to count how many people are watching the show.

don't worry about the cost cause they have the funding for it...it just up to the cast and crew if they want to continue.

I know that I wouldn't be upset if they made an ATLA spin-off, but I'm not holding my breathe. I honestly think that if they do another season it won't have much to do with Aang at all. His story is pretty much closed as far as I can see. Though your missing some stuff with a lot of the characters, such as, Toph, Zuko, Ursa, Iroh, and even Azula and Ozai Aang, Katara, and Sokka's story have primarily been told.
If they do continue with the avatar universe I have missed feelings on how having no Aang would be like, but I really kind of waiting for them to blow us away with another story. So that you'll still miss the origional characters, but you can get caught up in the new characters just as much.

I don't know about a spinoff, but how about one or two hour long movies in the near future to clean-up all the loose ends. That'd be nice. That I wouldn't mind.
I heard they may do another series, I'm not sure I'd watch though. I don't want new characters, or a new plot. There really is so much more they could still do with these guys. I know they said this is the end and this is where there story ends, but they really left it open to possibilities.

TV Movie Series...Still I don't know cause most of those TV "Movies" that Nick shows are mostly movies that will end the television series.
Still if FOP can continue(and I enjoy it still and because the creator agree) so would avatar if the cast and crew are willing to continue.
