I really hope their is a spinoff, one of Iroh would be great, but even if that show were to air I still hope that the regular Avatar show would air on Nickelodeon.

I would love a spinoff and cannot wait till Comic Con where we'll hopefully get some answers. *crosses fingers* I don't think it'll be bad as long as it has a different focus. The plot might get stale if it's just Aang again, but something like an Iroh spinoff would probably be really interesting. And I wouldn't like it to be a real anime. I like it just the way it is. ^_^ well if your going, or anyone here for the matter, then you better videotape the avatar panel. i went last year and it was awesome. Although i cant this year......crap

Well if they say they arent done with the avatar universe... And the show only has like 3 episodes left... shouldnt that tell you something? I hope nick turnes them down, and cartoon networks adult swim picks the new show up, and it has blood and killing in it... It would be waaaaaay better... Avatar's been amazing enough with its thick plotline and bracing themes. Blood and gore don't necessarily make everything better. And there was killing in Avatar, a few times. We saw Zhao killed (pulled under the water with no screaming or blood or anything)... We saw Jet killed... (he got hit once, and just lay there... Clearly it messed his insides up... So why wasnt he spitting up blood?) And uh... uh... uhhhhhhhhhh... Thats it... The rest of the time someone dies or has been killed, they talk about it... Just talk...

I didn't realize Avatar was in danger of turning into Spongebob. That's news to me.
The whole concept of LOLOLOLAVATARONADULTSWIM is a tired idea. Avatar is perfectly capable of dealing with mature themes in a way that Nickelodian deems suitable. I don't see why the show should forfeit its budget and the vast majority of its audience in order to be able to use a light profanity or show a bit of blood.

That's a stupid comparison. Avatar is a different show from Spongebob. The fact that it's gained sooo much attention without the use of blood or excessive violence already demonstrates its potential of being amazing enough. If the creators feel that violence isn't needed, it isn't needed. The show has a blend of action, character-development, invoking plot lines, humor, and suspense tied in pretty well fitting all ages. To water it down with gushing blood and long gashes just to appease the anime-otaku who're used to that would ruin the meaning of the show. Blood and Gore do not make a good show. I've said that before. fireair: Zhao accepted his death, why would he be screaming? Jet died from an internal wound, obviously, there doesn't have to be bleeding especially if the blow was blunt enough; it's the force behind the blow that deals the damage. And if you haven't forgotten, Aang was slain with lightning, we've seen his scar for a while now.

Seconded And really Avatar is violent, make no msitake about it guys. Its doen with more class and less blood. If I started seeing Naruto amounts of blood that might become really annoying. And Avatar is so fair above sponge bob its hard to believe there on the same network. but on the topic of a spin off. I think an Iroh spin off say ending when He goes with Zuko on his quest would be a really good arc. Especially seeing as Iroh is a well loved and deep character that could really be fleshed out.

I totally agree that avatar shouyldnt be on the same network as spongebob. i was so hyped when the puppetmaster was released, cause it finally showed how mature Avatar really is! Im just saying, phrases like "Your rules STINK" from the show kinda delute the matureity. at least they could have Katara say "SCREW YOUR RULES!". Im still stick to the idea that if they added just a little blood, it would be awsome. Nothing gushing, spraying, or squirting. Just a drop at the mouth if they were hit hard. I do agree too much blood would be EXTREMELY annoying.

I really hope it continues as well, as long as it isn't one of thosestuipid-lame-humor-just-to-get-people-to-watch shows. With Avatar ending, I feel like a period of my life is ending too

Back on topic of the possibility of a spin-off, please. If there is to be one, I would definitely watch it. As much as I would like one, I'm okay if there isn't one, though. I wouldn't want it to feel repetitive. I would be really sad if there wasn't one, Avatar has been a part of my life for so long, but I agree, I'd rather there not be one than the spin off be really bad.

While I would be thrilled if they start another series, it is very VERY unlikely. See, that comment was made by the creators during Season 2 when Nick was actually giving Avatar the time of day and was behind it. But they have since abandoned it and there is little hope of more.

Oh, God. My Dad has major mind powers or something.
He said that he wouldn't mind having a new Avatar series. He said that the plot could be like...
Katara and Aang both died happily together, and their children are becoming the new air nomads. Meanwhile, Sokka's grandchild, a waterbender, is the new avatar. Him and his friends go to Sokka for advice (something like that) during the journey, because of course, Sokka journeyed with Aang several years ago.
And there's like, this battle thing with the new air nomads and some other nation because the air nomads is growing.
Something like that. :"D
