Hmm, I’m not ecstatic over the casting news (Kristen looks more… slender I guess then I imagined Bella to be) but I’m not upset either. As for the Edward vs Jacob thing going around, all I’m going to say is dogs > rocks. XD ITA. I also completely agree with all of the arguments previously posted against Edward. All the people I talk to [at school] think I'm crazy, but I just really don't like Edward. For someone who is perfect and the epitone of perfection.....well, he just doesn't seem too realistic to me. And he is unbelievably controlling at the end of "New Moon" and for most of "Eclipse." I found him interesting and likeable in "Twilight," but in the other two he just became too perfect and too controlling for me to think it was a healthy relationship between him and Bella. =P Jake is so imperfect and yet so sweet and so realistic. And as much as most of us have always wanted a 'perfect' boyfriend, in the end, it is the one with the imperfections that we love. Cause perfection just gets old, and just again doesn't seem realistic at all. |

Jake is so imperfect and yet so sweet and so realistic. And as much as most of us have always wanted a 'perfect' boyfriend, in the end, it is the one with the imperfections that we love. Exactly. Edward is portrayed as so perfect that it’s a bore to read and Bella can only be star struck or downplay herself. Jake, on the other hand, actually acts human. He gets crushed, he gets ticked, he gets happy, and he makes Bella feel all of these things too. Honestly, I have no idea why Bella is so stuck on Edward when Jake seems so much better for her. He doesn’t restrict her choices like a parent would, he knows what she’s thinking without having to ask, they have fun together, and she wouldn’t have to give up on everything to be with him. |

I'm guessing that it might be a bit too early to make a Twilight thread under "movies" but Edward has just been cast. He's going to be played by Robert Pattinson.
I only know him as the guy who played Cedric Diggory in HP4.

The release date for Breaking Dawn has been posted. It is August 2nd 2008. It seems like a long ways away but it will be worth it!

I wasn't impressed by the casting. I mean, yeah, I'd rather have some decent looking actors who can act than some pretty ones who can't...but they're not jaw-dropping or anything.
I'm sitting here and I'm like..."that's it?"

I don't mind the other characters, but I really like the guy they chose for Edward. He just has that vampire-y look to him, and he's a good actor <3

Kristen Stewart as Bella was a great choice, and your right Luna, Robert Pattinson does have that look to him. I've seen both actors in other works, so I'm pretty excited.
I also like who they have picked out for Alice, who was my favorite. Almost exactly how I pictured her. Overall though, I'm a little disappointed on who they picked (especially Carlisle and Esme). I probably shouldn't judge by looks, and more on acting. TRAILER! >_<
