Aang is twelve years old (well 112 if you want to be technical), she probably doesn't think that someone that young can actually "love" someone else and when someone refers to something like that she thinks its teasing. If Aang gets older he will realize himself that his "love" for Katara at twelve years of age fails in comparison to his "love" at eighteen years of age.

Nuu, I don't think she has a clue. We've seen how she acts around someone she likes *coughJetcough*, and she isn't cool and nonchalant about it like how she acts around Aang. Around Jet, during their first encounter, she blushed and giggled and did everything a girl does with a new crush. Around Aang, she's much more composed and just comfortable. If she did know, and maybe even felt the same way, do you think that she could act so flippant and at ease around Aang. To me, it just doesn't make sense that she could hide her feelings for Aang, or know that he likes her without acting like it. She's not a very good actress.
So no, I don't think she knows.

I’ll repeat: I don’t think that Katara thinks Aang "isn't old enough" for things or feelings.
Like she did in a certain love cave?
In all seriousness, just because she doesn’t act the way around Aang she did Jet doesn’t mean she has no idea of his feelings. Frankly, her relationship with Aang is much deeper than her relationship with Jet so I doubt she would act the same way if she felt the same way.

I wonder what Aang would look like when he's 18..,. He's going to be a stud I tell ya, a stud! Back on topic: I think she does know, but she doesn't know just how much he likes her. She probably thinks he just has a crush on her, and is probably starting to realize her own feelings for him too. That will change, since Aang will most likely have to confront her about his feelings for her, and if he does, then I have a feeling she'll have to do the same thing. Who knows? For all we know, maybe she sees Aang in That Way already, but doesn't think much about it because he's the Avatar and all. Saving the world comes first, girls and smooching later. |

It makes sense to me. If she does like Aang in That Way, then she knows that she can't get in "the way". He's the Avatar, and he has duties. He doesn't have time to be all romantic and have a girlfriend, he has a destiny to fullfill. If she does like him, and is hiding her feelings for him, then I guess it is because she doesn't want to be of a burden to him, you know? She wants him to focus on saving the world and restoring balance.
Don't know about the actress part, but I think she can hold off her own feelings if she needs to.

I think Katara does know, at least subconciously, but she's being shy about it. CoTL has the best example of this; Katara nervously beats around the bush before suggesting the kiss (much like any young girl about to suggest kissing a boy would). She's only fourteen, and the only other boy around her age at the south pole was her brother. She really hasn't had any contact with boys her age, and doesn't have any experience with what to do if a boy likes her.
Her relationship with Jet was more like hero worship than real love. Watching "Jet," I'm reminded more of a girl fawning over a rock star than a girl interested in a serious relationship. Katara got blindsided by a guy who said and did all the right things. Jet is like every girl's fantasy man: strong, handsome, a rebel, sensitive. Aang is not. Aang doesn't know how to act around Katara.
