Book 2. I'm way too disappointed with some parts of Book 3 to vote for it. I really hate some of the episodes.

Book 2 was the best for me. Had the best character development eps and fleshed out the true villian (azula0.

Book 3. I really like how it tied everything together and brought back characters from the first two seasons we thought we'd never see again.

Season 3. Had the most coolest fights and the best conclusion episodes.

I'm really surprised that Book 3 is winning by so much. I was always under the impression that lots of people strongly disliked it. Maybe it's just because I spent all my time talking to Zutarians. :-P I know I must have replied to this already but I probably changed my opinion a bit and am too lazy to look for my reply. So I'm definitely between 1 and 2. I didn't like a lot of 3 and that's either because I built it up so much that it couldn't possibly live up to my expectations or because it really did have a different vibe. Zuko wasn't banished, the gAang had different clothes and hairdos (and there was just a lot of red coloring..... ) Book 1 was very fresh, light-hearted and good spirited while having action and a purpose. Then Book 2 still was funny and amusing, but also got suspenseful and intense. I was having trouble deciding between the two because I wasn't taking all episodes into account. I think of Book 1 as being more about individual stories and then for Book 2 I just think about the Ba Sing Se storyline. So I looked at an episode list and, for each season, put a plus for each episode I liked and a minus for those I disliked (nothing for an okay one). And I ended up with a tie, so I guess I really can't make up my mind over which I prefer. EDIT Sorry for the giant fail post Too much thought went into a post of nothingness.

I got to give it to Book 2. To me season 2 was the pinnacle of storytelling. All the characters were in top form, as the writers finally got their groove going, each interacting and playing off of each other. They also introduced a handful of memorable new characters such as Azula + crew, Toph, etc. Also characters began to show depth and growth, as well as reflection from previous episodes. The story arc was well defined between Zuko and Aang. Also the episode had great cliffhangers and plot twists. There were a few fillers here and there but with the two story arcs at least one of them was moving ahead.

I am, however, a Zuko fan...and I dislike season three because I don't like what they did with and to him for most of the earlier episodes...and some of the later ones...

I know I must have replied to this already but I probably changed my opinion a bit and am too lazy to look for my reply.Same here. I say book 2. It was just very Avatar-y. It had some much that the other books didn't. The characters, drama, and to add even more, it had the best story of all three seasons. The character depths, twists and turns were much more dramatic than season 1 or 3. By Avatar-y, I mean the animation. It had it's own thing going on, and that's what got me hopelessly sucked in. Nick also gave the fans some awesome time in that book. When book two was in swing, the forum was abuzz with talk about the episode just aired, what might come, and nothing like a lot of the anger that engulfed the forum during the delivery of book 3. "Awesome time" meant, we had a week to discuss ships and the episodes. And that was my awesome time on DH vs. the wrath for nick last summer. Overall season two was much better, not to say book 1 and 3 had thier moments, but book 2 was entirely consumed of those 'moments.' paleiko- I was also dissapointed with some parts of Book 3 too. That's why I chose book 2. Adieu...

Season one was epic at it's time, that's why we got into Avatar, but after watching the entire series, season one seems weak now. I appreciated it more when it was the only season.

I vote for season 2, cause it's really the best one. I liked all the series, especially ones refered to Ba Sing Se. For me, the final in Book 2 was more epic than in 3, 'cause everything was so unexpecting, and in 3 everyone knew that the Avatar would win in the end)) I'm appreciating creators for the work they did in Season 3, but my heart belongs only Season 2 ;D

I voted Season 3 to annoy everyone who voted for Season 1 & 2 or hated Season 3.

Season 2 definitely. It was just so... connected. Each episode just to seemed to flow together so smoothly. Season 1 was definitely disjointed with all the different individual stories in each episode and season 3 just didn't seem to have much of a flow (especially in the beginning). Season 2 had a great flow, great storylines, great character development, amazing action, and flat out incredible plot points.
Episode after episode, it is all great, Hardly any filler and just about every episode is an enjoyable watch. There were absolutely no weak points at all in this season.
I loved the finale as well. The ending was just shocking (shame season 3 couldn't match up to said immense ending) and entire story is epic and crazy. Seriously, about 10 storylines were going on at one time. When it first premiered, I was confused havign trouble just keeping up with everything going on so quickly but it was just so smooth.

I like book three the best because it is the season that got me into Avatar.
