On come on, that's a ridiculous criticism. So what if it sounds like The Last Samurai? Lord of the Flies and Lord of the Rings sound alike, and are they alike? No, of course not. Seems like you have room to talk, especially since you started your argument with "On come on..." instead of "Oh come on..." Anyways, that's my opinion, which I'm entitled to, and I don't need you trying to demean what I think about the title. And your counterpoint completely complemented my argument. "The Last Samurai" and "The Last Airbender" AREN'T about the same thing. But they sound alike. So for people that haven't heard of the TV show might draw parallels because of something like the titles being similar.

Criticizing my one little mistake in spelling? Really? On the Internet?
Anyway, pardon me; I thought YOU were the one drawing the parallel, instead of saying that other people might to do that. Sorry it sounded like I was trying to demean your opinion; it wasn't my intention (I just get carried away with words sometimes).
What you say may be true, but then, I'd think it's only the idiots out there who'd refuse to abandon that false, presumptuous parallel when they see the trailers/teasers/posters/synopsis/etc. Nothing to really worry about.

Lalala, play nice or suffer the consequences, lalala.
Anyways, I too like The Legend of Aang ovet The Last Airbender but that's just me, I'm fine with either titles. I've no problems with the artcile, The, either. The only thing is the seems to take the emphasis since it's the first word, whereas Avatar usually gets that focus.
Personally, if people can't look at the Avatar trailers without their biases on the title, then they're not gonna enjoy it, and ha, that's their problem. It's not who doesn't like it; it's who does, that truly matters.

I haven't seen a single movie all the way through by M. Night, but whats interesting is that I know other people that are nearly fans of his work. A plus is that families can enjoy going to see his movies (even if they are confusing sometimes). After seeing this it would have to be pretty hard for the movie to flopp considering he is working with the creators. The most crucial thing will be how to advertise the movie to the masses. That might not be so hard if it turns out that these other anime-to live action movies are a big hit.

There's a difference between being disrespectful, and having a sense of humor. I haven't seen a single movie all the way through by M. Theres still a high possibility of the movie being bad. Mike and Bryan are inexperienced with Live Action, and Shyamalan's movies are hit or miss.

Yeah as a fan, I would want an awesome movie that doesn't sell well rather than a lame popular one. Wasn't the misses of Shyamalan's movies because they were his imagination and too weird or conveluted? Now he is using someones idea and making into a movie, do you think that might change it up for him a bit?

I'm not confidant about this one. I don't think mainstream audiences will go for it.

soo very sad, 2010? sorry fandom tends to die off very quickly when there's no material in between gaps

There will be material. I'm sure we'll get plenty of stuff once filming starts in August.
