Yeah, that would make sense...how could you think that the Water Tribes wouldn't show up again? I mean, come on, we're only talking about Sokka and Katara's home nation, here...

The Great Divide was close to crossing the line into lameness. Tales of Ba Sing Se had the little bit for Appa and Zuko but that was about it. Most of it was useless insight into the more mundane lives of the characters. But I have to say Iroh's was the best "day in the life" story, whether or not it plays into the storyline is yet to be seen. It's just what he said about not being able to help Lu Ten makes me feel we'll get a flashback or something.

A lot of people seem to be picking on tales, but I thought it was interesting as it showed us insite to some of the characters, like Zuko, Toph, Iroh and yes even Momo. But for me Avatar day runs circles around anything, it almost got me out of the show.

I would say that it's a tie between Great Divide and Avatar Day, though I tend to lean more towards the Great Divide only because I cannot stand to watch that episode and Avatar Day I can wathc without wanting to turn the tv off. What is with everyone dowin the great divide? ?? It was a funny show! "The Chase" is the one in my book.

Well the chase did bring the forces together for the first time in 100 years technically, I guess it was a way the creators were saying that perhaps the elements will come together again maybe possbly... ergh

It just bored me, and left me wanting Azula out even more.

I would say either "The Great Divide" or "Avatar Day." Saying a storyline plot is irrelevant is the same thing as saying it's filler.

Well, I wouldn't say Avatar Day is pointless; it did give us another look at one of the Avatars, namely Kyoshi. Not only that, but we got an update on the whereabouts of the Kyoshi Warriors.
I've enjoyed all of the episodes...although some did contribute much less to the plot than others.

Same with some of the episodes in the first half of season 1.... "The Chase" was one of the most important episodes to the plot IMO. Had Toph and Iroh meeting up, which turned out to be a good thing in the finale. We got to see how cruel Azula is (striking her own uncle off-guard, VERY low) but it was the first episode with Toph as a part of the GAang. It also had the awesome fight scene with Aang vs. Azula vs. Zuko. Oh and we learned Azula had a sense of humor "It's ok, you can laugh. It's funny." Anywho yeah "The Chase" was very vital to the plot in season 2 I think. It gave great development for Toph, a new character we'd just met 2 episode prior. This episode also got Josh Hamilton a promotion in season 3 to full-time writer from writer's assistant. Well this and TCoTL.

"Avatar Day", "The Chase" & "Tales of Ba Sing Se" had atleast some sort of vital info to add to the plot. I only say "The Great Divide" cause at the moment, the evidence say to me that nothing was much added there to the ending of the season.

I though that the great divide was the most useless episode. It really doesnt have much to do with the plot besides aang helping people. I thought that Avatar Day and Tales of BSS were great episodes though. I really liked it how toph said that she doesnt care what other people thinks she looks like because she knows who she is. That was really cool. Great Divide didnt have that much action in it.

OK, the Gaang is in it, but that's all. You just scratch your head and go WTF? But I had the same thing with 'Jet'. and boy did that episode ever come back as being important. So I am eagerly awaiting the new season. Maybe the two tribes are just outside the city, and the Gaang stops over on the way to where ever they are going to now.

I think every episode served a purpose. The great divide for example showed, that Aang not only has to balance the elements, but also bring peace to the people. ToBSS gave us some development for Zuko, Katara and Toph...and a bit Momo. So yeah, I personally see all of them having effect on the canon.

..Mmmm..Great Divide or Avatar Day...I thought they were both pretty stupid, but I really disliked some of the stuff in Avatar Day. "Lets show the avatar what we think of his honor! *fart noise*" The Characters were acceptionally annoying, It was like they were reaching out to preschoolers...But I liked the Kyoshi stuff. Then again we really didn't need to know it, I could get along without knowing that stuff, you know? I have to say The Great Divide was the most pointless, but I disliked Avatar Day more.

yet "Avatar Day" show us Interlinking between Zuko and Iroh...which lead to the epsiode"Zuko Alone" and a bit of "The Chase" Plus you already said about Suki and Crew...which had vital episodes in "The Seprate's Tail" and "Appa's Lost Days". I will defened all epiosde expect one that the least vital to the mian plot. The Great Divide
