hmm i'd say the great divide too. it was the first ep. of avatar i ever saw, and i almost decided not to keep watching it. i gave it another chance though, and i got hooked.

Actually, Appa's Lost Days added a lot to the plot: - Guru Pathik - We got to see the Eastern Air Temple - Fire Nation citizens - Long Feng's treachery - We know the Dangerous Ladies battled against the Kyoshi Warriors and it was because of this that they were able to sneak into Ba Sing Se. -And that Appa is now afraid of fire, which might come up again when aang is learning firebending. The Great Divide is the most useless to me. plus, when I didn't have cable and I was somewhere I could watch avatar, the only episode on would be Great Divide. I. f@#$%!g. Hated. It.

I have to go with The Great Divide and then Tales of Ba Sing Se...TOB was a good episode but it was a filler in my opinion...only story that kept the plot moving even a little bit was Momo trying to track Appa. The Great Divide was a filler, and was just to enjoy. Wbich is why alot of ppl did'nt like it as much in the end. I would say Avatar day, but it gave alot of info on Avatar Kyoshi which put it ahead of the other two I mentioned....but it too....was a filler....to enjoy...

I think the Tales of Ba Sing Se wasn't vital to the PLOT so to say... but It probably has the most character development than any other episode, so I think it was important to the show. The Great Divide... yes, a total filler, but I still enjoyed it. "Ohh... I wouldn't call it luck, I would call it LYING"

I'd have to say both "The Great Divide" and "Tales of Ba Sing Se"were useless to the plot. The only thing that had ANYTHING to the plot was Appa's footprint (which wasn't much) in "Tales of Ba Sing Se".

I agree with others that "The Great Divide" really didn't advance the plot that much. As for the episodes in season two that seemed not very important to the plot I'm not going to say anything about them just yet because there is always a chance that they might come back in season three. When "Jet" first aired I thought it was a unimportant filler but it proved to be very vital to several events in season two.

Gotta agree with the great divide, though Tales of BSS, while having a lot of funny stuff, did not add a lot to the over plot.

The Great Divide didn't add much to the plot and not much adding to devlopment, yet it was enteraining to watch. this is the only epiosde that didn't add much at all to the plot.

the great devide didnt do a lot...BUT the northern air temple didnt do a lot either, except throw in a un-decided plot twist with the hot air balloon

Ah, yes, I agree with that- but you saw the Fire Nation dudes who discovered how the hot air balloon thing- I think that's going to be crucial to the Fire Nation's attack plans.

Yeah I think that The Great Divide had no theme relevant to the plot other then working together to overcome differences. But that doesn't really happen much later on in the series...

The great devide didn't help the plot, but it made me laugh.
