Ah, so it won't happen.
Remember, the CTB is for serious debate and discussion.

Ummm... I really feel that you don't have enough support for your arguement. Sure, tons of things could happen but right now it appears you don't have proof to back up your statements. The world could blow up, it might happen, you never know.

It would be embarrasing for the EU to realise that they needed US support to take on the US. Thats what happens when youre not willing to cough up real money for military spending. Ive heard about the so called CIA plane issue but I dont see the Irish government taking a hostile tone over that. As long as procedural requirements are fulifilled, it is not the usual requirement of airports to pursue what or who is on board a plane that has just stopped to refuel especially when no one is disembarking and nothing is getting off the plane. If your airport adds in additional requirements, you might find your planes subject to additional restrictions when they try to land in other airports. An extreme example to drive home the point but there you go. In the end, America remains a highly valued ally for most if not all democratic countries both in military and economic terms. Now, in the words of one Dr Bob Kelso "..you should all take a second, think seriously about what is really bothering you and then have a big, group unbunching of your panties." . The last line is joke, btw.

we might take a hostile tone we are kept in the dark about those planes any longer i should know i am Irish after all and the EU has a larger combined army then then America so the EU would win the war if it came to a war that is.

Eh, who really knows? Great Britain had the strongest army and largest navy when the US beat them for independence. However it probably wouldn't look so good for the US if the entire EU did gang up on it =P

yeah the US would lose against the EU in a matter of weeks if not days if they went to war.

Youve got to be joking. The EU can barely agree on the price or cost of a pint of milk, now theyre going to unite to go to war with their chief source of revenue. Over Irish airport regulations. As for numbers of active soldiers, Id be surprised if the EU outstripped the US. Even if so, Im inclined to quote a certain movie when it comes to the US military machine: "Spartans! What is your profession?"

We all know that America wouldnt do that. Lets keep this real world.
arbiter, I respect that youre an irish citizen but can you honestly see your government or the UK government (I mention UK for proximity and general sphere of influence) declaring war with America over this? Has your President even demanded to know what was on board those planes?

Please post a link to a news article of your prime minister's demand. I havent seen it. In fact, I didnt see the so called CIA plane issue being raised in any of the normal media.
