Now we all know that there is a current war in the middle east, but I have a question for you. What do you think the next major war for the United States will be? I noticed in one thread, China was angered with the US over honoring the Dali Llama. What if the US continues to anger China some more. Is it possible that China maybe our next major war?
If so, who do you think will win. I seriously think that the US will be victorious. Because if China was ever to invade the US, think about every single gang member, citizens owning guns, southerns, immigrants with smuggling weapons. Not to mention the US Military. There is no possible way that any invading country could win.

I don't know. I'm still pretty much convinced the situation in the middle east will escalate. But if the US was ever to go to war with CHina, I think China would win. Their military is just as advanced as any other out there, and they have a LOT more people. Seriously, if China starts to form militia, you may well have around 2 million people at arms, ready to go to war, and more coming on a daily basis...

With China having around 1 1/2 billion citizen...2 million men in arms isn't even the tip of the iceberg.
However, the middle east is about as major as it gets.

I have to agree with Dan wars are fought over resources what ever that may be to each nation. WE will sadly never stop having wars unless we can work together as one people but even then somone will still want something they don't have.

I could honestly see a major military conflict with S. American countries before another middle eastern one. Anything that happens in the mid east would be more likely terrorist type strikes rather than fully organized military strikes.
We'll never got to war with China in a military sense. They have enough economic clout to strangle us through trade to get their point across.
Hmm Africa is another hot spot where I could see US military intervention occurring. The continent is unstablized and has abundant resources.

I hope we don't go to war with China! It's hard to tell. But the Chinese don't understand that they're the ones who aren't the hero for taking over Tibet and killing the Dali Lama's family. So I don't care how ticked off they are at us for taking the Dali's side. That's their problem for being angry at us, not ours.

Hmm, well, sinces chances are that the next MAJOR war we get involved in will be a nuclear war, I don't really think we citizens will be alive long enough to figure out who we're fighting . . .

China is not even close to a threat.
Iran is the next conflict, provided North Korea doesn't do anything dumb first. I'd worry more about North Korea if their leader was more like his father and less like a kid who needs attention.

Its just that they don't show it.. This is their..i dunno..some march thingy..they do it every year. LOOK how synchronized they are. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ru-xQac_sWw

Numbers don't matter nearly as much as you seem to think.
China does have a good armored division and fairly decent tanks, I'll give them that. They have a joke of an Air Force, outdated equipment for the ground pounders, No navel advantage, poorly trained base units, a joke of an infantry system... the list goes on.
Trust me when I tell you that the United States Military studies every real military force on earth. Small, regional, forces change often and are assessed as needed. The Chinese military is basically a huge employer for China, a giant propaganda machine, and counts on numbers.
If push came to shove the United States military has plenty of plans to overtake China in as few as a couple days. I, obviously, don't have access to details but have no reason to believe any of it not to be true. I've seen enough to know a few things, and have no doubt that the United States Military is capable of crushing China.
The current problem with the war going on is that it's wrong, and there's no public support for it. We didn't have a plan on what to do after taking out the existing government and the guys on the ground are paying for it now. The United States 'won' the Tet offensive, but by that point public opinion was gone and we had to pull out.
As for the armored division I mentioned at the beginning of this post, we have something called The FGM0148 Javelin. There's also the BGM-71 TOW should we need the range; but all of this is assuming the air strike and various missiles fired from Sea (more accurate than you may think) leave an armor division within reinforce range before an in-country fortified position can be obtained.
Propaganda videos and marches can make any military look good. The Soviet Union did it, the KKK did it, and the French still put out propaganda videos about their military.

Well I watched a show about what could destroy the human race. Number 2 was another war between the US and Russia. Since we have leftover nuclear missiles from the cold war. The most likely case of war between the two nations is by accident. Once one nation sees a missile heading straight for them, they will sure retaliate with launching another missile. With 10 or 20 missiles being launched, it is sure to shape the entire world. Let's pray that Russia and the US stays friends forever. Wait a minute, the KKK is a separate nation? Since when? They are just a cult, do they accentually put out propaganda videos on how big their military is even if they are surrounded by the United States, cause they are in it?

Propaganda can be used by anyone to depict themselves in a certain light. Anyone that has an agenda uses them. N. Korea is very fond of doing whole parade shows when other foreign dignitaries come by.
Regardless, I see Russia being more military active before any the US tries to do anything. I mean Russia and Iran have basically made a political alliance against the US, throw in the usual bluster from Hugo Chavez and you get a polticial climate that says it's "cool" to speak out against the US. Not to mention we seem to like alienating our allies.
