Does everyone remember what happens in episode 135 at the end...
You see Zetsu come out of the ground in the Valley of End after Kakashi takes Naruto and then it goes to a Akatsuki scene where the whole organization has come together and is talking. They even said they would kill Orochimaru eventually but the main thing they said and we know is we must get them all including the Nine Tails. I think that is a hint that Orochimaru will be killed by Akatsuki. And since the time skip was two years then that means Orochimaru still needs one more year before he can take Sasuke's body.

They might get to a episodes where Orochimaru attempts to take Sasuke's body but is not successful and then Itachi comes and kills Orohcimaru for betraying Akatsuki.

I don't think Orochimaru will be alive in a year,so Sasuke will still be his usual unhappy little self! And then they'll all die. (Kidding about the dieing)

No, I think Orochimaru is too much of main character to die so easily and will find some crazy evil jutsu to live if he cannot take Sasuke's body in time.
