Lol! That's amusing, Nandi. I don't mind Kataang totally, they just bore me. It's too sweet and easy and flat. And realistically, there can be relationships like that but I don't want to read or write about them. Dark and intriguing... that I can deal with. XDDD

Meh.
IMO, One is "boring" and predictible, the other one makes zero sense as far as any aspect of compatibility goes.... emonotional, spiritual, or otherwise. And its just as predictable from a "what are fangirls going to love?" standpoint.
Ill take the boring, "easy" relationship over the "non-relationship" relationship any day.
.... But ya. Neither are all that great. There for, go with the one with the most lasting power....
"Go Go Toko!"

Well, I wouldn't say there's NO evidence for Zutara whatsoever - in fact, I was more interested in them being friends in the show, and I got that.

There for, go with the one with the most lasting power.... "Go Go Toko!" Potential, evidence AND foreshadowing! Why are there two...dare I say it...love birds on the branch above the pair in this shot? The animators could have just as easily drawn a flower...a piece of fruit...or just more branch. But no...they drew a pair of snowy love birds. It's certainly got my creative juices stewin' But anyway...back to the triangle...

I choose neither. Neither couple brings any appeal to me, because it's almost as if the characters were inherently tied to end up one way or another. There wasn't an overall genuine relationship between Aang and Katara than a teenage relationship; it lacked in substance and flare.
Zutara seemed forced in Season Three, like The Southern Raiders Episode and in Season Two with the Crystal Catacomb thing. Their tidbits of interactions were stale and polar that it brought little justice to either character.
But that's just it in the series, the romance was bleh. Sokka and Suki had the most realistic relationship of the entire cast, but it still seemed awkward.

Kataang in a heartbeat. I think thecreators/writers did a great job showing us the developing bond between Aang and Katara. And that bond is fierce amd strong. Sure, Aang was crushing on Katara before Katara was crushing on Aang and she was protective and motherly towards him(as is her nature...she even showed just a tidbit of that with Zuko in The Old Masters). But her feelings changed slowly and their bond grew(The Desert anyone? she's the only person who can pull him back from the darkness). When Katara saw Aang on that podium in Avatar Aang, a fully realised avatar, and knowing the war is over and she can think about a relationship, she knew she loved Aang..I mean she loved him almost instantly but she allowed those romantic feelings to surface at the end.
Zutara....can't see it(but I love Maiko). The characters themselves gag at the thought of any romantic interest between the two. That being said, I am really and truly glad that they become friends. I believe that their friendship will be very strong and intense and lasting.

Kataang hands down for me. I got to watch Aang and Katara deal with their transition from friends to a couple in that one saw struggle with his feelings and his duty as well as the fear of rejection. One saw Katara journey from seeing Aang as just a "sweet little guy" to someone she found romantically attractive. You saw her grow up in that respect - abandoning silly girlish fantasies to instead embrace the love that was in front of her the whole time.
I loved their best-friends-to-lovers story. I found it made them very relateable and added another dimension to their characters. As the series went on I rooted for them more and more because as the series went on they just fit. They made each other happy. Loved and supported each other. And provided each other with the sort of checks and balances the needed.
Other people might find it boring but I found it charming and refreshing. To see sweet lovable Aang not be cast aside by his pretty best friend who instead chooses the supposed handsome older boy. I like the fact you saw two people who truly and unconditionally care about each other and make each other happy.
And I do not see them bring all fluff. Navigating the waters of a new relationship, Aang's duties, etc. all make for stuggle and further interest.
I disagree with zutara being intriguing. I do agree with it being dark. TSR showed that. They fed off of each other's negativity and were hurtful to those they cared about. Aang (as admitted by Zuko) knew exactly what katara needed. I find katara to be a redemption prize for zuko because they gained all they needed from forgiveness and friendship.

Zutara.
I always felt Kataang was way too predictable. And plus, Aang seems way too young to be in a relationship as serious as Kataang was made out to be, IMO. Sure, he's the Avatar, but he's just a twelve year old kid as well.

I remember being in the excitement of the Kataang and Zutara war. I probably would've skipped school for an entire week if Zutara happened. Haha good times.

When news of Tenzin's parents broke out, I was just as delighted. I cant wait to see how it will be announced in the series itself. Im hoping that Tenzin would have learned an "I told you so" dance from his old man.

i just wanna see some resemblence between Tenzin and Aang...i'm hoping that Tenzin's a younger character (but i'm not going to hold my breath). And Katara and Twinkletoes better of had more kids than just him... or else this show might as well be called The Legend of Korra: Finding the LAST AIRBENDER....... -_-

Kataang hands down all the way, I have always been a huge Kataang fan right from the get go. They are just so cute together. And after watching the entire series I am happy that Zutara didn't happen, because if Katara had fell in love with Zuko in the catacombs she would have used the spirit oasis water to heal Zuko's scar and Aang would be dead...
And I am just not willing to think about Aang being dead...that's just not a good thought to me at all. But I still have to say that the most realistic and cute relationship would have to be Suki and Sokkam they are just so fetching cute together.
But this topic coming up makes me wonder about Legend of Korra...does Zuko marry and have kids with Mai? Or does he end up with someone else? We've gotten news that Aang and Katara had a kid...so what about all the other characters?

NO NO NO ANYTHING AND ANYBODY BUT KATAANG! I mean their relationship is okay and everything but they had NO chemistry and Katara's love life COULD have been better-- she had a thing with Haru, with Jet, WITH ZUKO-- but it was not pursued. Now Zataang-- That's what I call a relationship. I shipped it ever since The Southern Raiders. Their chemistry was EPIC! Sparks everywhere!
