Guys... the bending of water inside a person has been around since the beginning of Season 1. It was on the Nick website and the Lost Scrolls: Water book. OMG I remember reading that book. It said that airbenders never had any super-deadly finishing moves. The only way for air to really become balanced with the secret moves of the other nations is for Aang to learn to take the breath out of someone or something like that from some random guy in the spirit world. but he won't.....he is to adversed to causing harm to people. Hama learned to bend like this out of pure hate..... How far would you go to win a war......and when that war is over are you really the victor.....or just the enemy reborn.....

well said nerull but I still think that in very specific situations she may loose control... I'm itching to write a oneshot but I have to resist cuz I want to discuss this awesome episode She is prone to moodswings in certain situations. It'll come back to haunt her eventually. Otherwise this episode was just filler...which I doubt.

I expect Katara to talk to the others about this new ability. Sokka might make a joke about it. Actually, I'd like Katara to say she doesn't want to use bloodbending because it's just too evil. And Sokka could say "Right, so you should only use it against really evil people. I hate to say this, but I don't think even Zuko deserves to be bloodbended. But maybe Azula or Ozai..."

I think Aang has started to get over his reluctance to firebend. In "The Guru" he had to accept the fact that he was the Avatar and thusly, a firebender. But when he exhaled, it was kind of weak...I don't think he is 100% over it yet.

Here's a fic someone did way earlier this year about Katara being a Bloodbender. ....Although it does take it further than the show. Also, was anyone else expecting Katara to either mention Jet, or have a breif flashback with Jet when Hama started gibbering about how the Fire Nation should pay?

Didn't even think of jet at all actually... But that is a good connection. Two people hurt by the FN with a little too much power that end up pychos. But Jet is my favorite Pycho of them all

........ I'll never look at Katara the same way again... God, that was dark. I think we got our Water Tribe villian. HHey, Katara's sort of a mix between a werewolf and a vampire! XD *shot*
