Oh yeah I just rememberd that even if Katara had the willpower to use bloodbending again, she can't cuz she can only use it when the moon is full.

Okay why Hama is a successful serial killer. She's been in the Fire Nation for 40 years and if she took 2 people a month. 480 x 2 = 960 960 body count Also not much study of elemental mythology...I mean the folks in the town thought it was a witch when it reality it was just a bad waterbender...if the town knew more information about the moon and who gain the power from it...maybe there would be story about Hama's Mythology also note the old man whatisname escape because of...the sun

Katara is so much stronger than Hama though cause Hama said that it took her years in her cell to master the ability, but Katara did it like 10 seconds after even knowing that there was such a thing as bloodbending.

When your life is on the line it makes you learn real fast. Learn it and learn it good, or die. If there was no war Katara would have still been a gifted bender but more than likely at a slower pace. The only pressure for excellence would have come from a teacher. Still, bending water from plants as fast as Hama, fighting off the Bloodbending, (I think) she bended water from thin air, then Bloodbending, all in a couple of minutes. It just feels unbelievable and an excuse for Katara to suddenly master all these new techniques. I do agree with you that when your life is in danger that you can learn fast or whatever but it still feels rushed and an excuse for Katara to master new moves. Still love the fight scene though.

Well, you have to remember that Katara can only Bloodbend during the full moon, not just any time the moon is up. As for the episode itself, although I'd already seen it on Veoh Halloween night, it was still an awesome expererience, and the music score was absolutely amazing.
I just hope that the second half of Season three is even half as awesome as this one was . . .

Katara just used the Bloodbending to pin down Hama, she didn't have Hama's precise controls to make people move around like puppets.
As for pulling water out of plants, that seemed like an easy thing to do. Just pulling out a water from a plant.

Yea it was rushed... but it made for an awesome fight scene you guys are always talking about things are so unrealistic but I'd personally rather have really cool fights then a realistic gradual improvement of bending...

I think I found an easter egg. When Katara takes the cabbage out of the grocery basket, it looks like a face, maybe Gran Gran's because Katara says, "She kind of reminds me of Gran Gran," as she is holding the cabbage. Screencap:
