Okay if this had already been posted, me sorry! Does the gaang know of Zuko's scar. I know they know he has it but do they really know about how he got it did he ever clear it up? I mean it really is puzzling me and I can't write anymore of my new story till I figure this out??? Any thoughts on Crazula and Ozai's fate they are always nice to get fresh ideas!!!

Well, they never showed Zuko telling them or any signs of them knowing the origin of his scar. But, and this is just my speculation, I don't think he has told them. I think he just figured they wouldn't have the time to discuss his issues with his father because they needed to focus on defeating Ozai. Zuko is very determined after all. He might tell them in the future. He has grown close to the gang and trusts them now. As for the fate of Ozai and Azula, maybe these threads will help you out with that: - Any chance of redemption for Crazula?- Ozai's punishment: a fate worse than death

Good topic, JFL. I'm kind of curious myself. I don't think he has told them - though he might have mentioned it to Sokka or Katara on one of those long travels, because it appeared to me that he had some deep conversations with one of the two of them.

I thought he might have told Katara because he wanted to comfort her on the journey back. Like that was my viewpoint but you never know it may be a secret to all of them...unless ember island players told them?

Considering the fact that old village people from the EK would know of his "burning and disowning" from his father, I guess they could surmise it was from that.
Or a battle scar.

Yeah, that's true... I don't think he told Katara in the catacombs did he? I think with the info he provided though, she could have put it all together. There's no telling if he told Sokka, but I feel like he did for some reason. *shrug*

They could hae found out while they were in the Earth Kingdom. Katara's sensitive reaction to his scar in the CofD suggests she knew the story behind it.

I thought Katara's sensitive reaction in COD was just because she had accidentally made him feel self conscious about a horribly disfiguring scar?
And there is no canon evidence that Zuko, at any point, told the gaang the story behind his scar. We never saw him do it and no one referenced the story either.
So I do not believe they know.
The EK ppl know about it in "Zuko Alone". But Zuko's own crew(or Lt. Jee, anyway) thought the scar had resulted from a "training accident". How does this work?
The "Will of Mike and Bryan". Otherwise known as "The doctrine of plot holes and logic fallacies."
[And I somehow doubt that those EK ppl knew the full story behind the scar like we did. For all we know, they thought Zuko got into the Agni Kai with Ozai b/c he tried a coup or something. Or just for the whole BS excuse that he had "shown disrespect". I just can't see Ozai letting the story of what actually occurred in the war room get out; the fact that Zuko spoke out of turn in defense of his people.]

^^ Lt Jee's ignorance was in "The Storm" episode in Season 1 before Zuko was branded and hunted as a traitor to his nation in "The Avatar State" in the first episode of Season 2. Azula probably actively spread the story throughout the Earth Kingdom of how he was an outcast disowned by his own father. Of course her version of events would not have been sympathetic to Zuko but the gist of the story would still be there. Another clue is that Team Avatar werent at all surprised that Zuko and Iroh were fighting Azula or that Azula called them both traitors in "The Chase" episode. Im not saying there is absolute proof but it is at least a possibilty that Team Avatar would have gotten the broad strokes of the story in their jorney through the Earth Kingdom. IMHO, the "Will of Mike and Bryan" should only be applied when Occam's razor fails.

Aang: "So...how do you think he got that scar?"
Sokka: "You HAVE met his sister right? You know...the sadistic, vindictive, overly powerful twisted little witch with the blue fire and the lightening and the 'I'm better than everyone in the whole wide world' attitude."

lol That would make sense. It may not be how it *actually* happened, but it explains why they never asked.

^ Exactly. Theyre all possibilities. For a start, were assuming they never asked Zuko because we didnt see it in an episode. Another possibility is that Zuko did tell them off camera at some point in Season 3 after he joined Team Avatar.
