@ CC and Kappa - Don't worry I'm writing an awesome blending tutorial right now, but it'll take me until tonight to get it finished. okay, this is probably a n00bish question, but then again I am a photoshop n00b. Anyway, let's say you have a bunch of pictures, and you want to put them all on one background, like say to make a tutorial. How do you do that? Simple really: Go to File>New. Create a document kinda like this one: Fill your background with a color or pattern. Next start dragging your images onto the background, and they will become new "layers" like this: Those layers created this. I hope this helped a bit.

okay, but I meant, let's say you need to make the canvas longer than the original size, how do you do that?

okay, but I meant, let's say you need to make the canvas longer than the original size, how do you do that? Go to: Image>Canvas Size>Change "inches to pixels">Adjust the height to suit your needs. Oh yeah, make sure "relative" is unchecked unless you want to change the size proportionally. Edit: This is the tag I will be teaching you guys how to make. The tutorial will hopefully be pretty indepth, so you will get a taste of render blending, c4d, and gradient maps.

Ok so my internet got cut off yesterday afternoon while I was writing (I'm a little short on cash to pay the bill so I'm at the library right now....) I will have it tomorrow, I will just have to write it up in Word or something and the transfer it to a webpage.

Hmm, does anyone know of any tutorials/general techniques to make icons from pictures with plain white backgrounds? I usually just erase the white background and put a texture underneath, but that's getting boring. xD

^ Try just playing around with the layer type/settings. Other than that I can't think of anything.
@chibi Chan -- Very nice drawing. I like the shading.
I have random icons that I suppose I could put up later, if we're just trying to keep the thread alive. (currently the site I use is removing some of my icons for some strange reason *shrug* )
