Well, you asked for it. I only have a few old (well, not that old) contest entries in my account right now -- I'll upload some old Bleach icons I've made in a bit though. ^ Eh. Nothing really special. ^ Mainly made that just to be extremely random while staying vaguely within the theme. ^ From last week's contest. A bit too pink for me, but it was cute. ^ Actually won with this one. I'm really happy with how it came out ^ My avatar in another forum. Felt like using an unloved FMA character.

Oi god, you need to teach me how to do that, I've had Photoshop for a month, and I still get frustrated with it. Actually, I love my Photoshop Elements 5, even if it's obsolete, but I also have CS3, and I'm so afraid of sing it, it's so intimidating. I keep trying to use these lighting textures, but the final products aren't always so great.

Don't you dare waste your CS3!! There are some of us who don't have it!!! Hah, it'll be there on my computer always. I tried using lighting textures on CS3, and came out with this crappy icon. Though I suppose it beats what I make on Elements 5. Example: And tutorials just confuzzle me, so I just play around till I learn stuff.

You don't need to completely follow tutorials. All you really need to do is look for some ideas and techniques that you like, and apply them with others you find from other tutorials. Then, when you get used to it, you can start to image what certain things will look like in your head before you even do it.

Everytime I use a tutorial, I always end up straying from it. I do that with everything.

Yeah, try starting with coloring ones, then work your way to textures and then Selective Coloring, etc . . .

I mainly look up coloring tutorials for drawing. Same. But I have Elements 2 so most tutorials don't work for me anyway (same with brushes, unfortunately). @tonnie -- it doesn't really matter which program you use, just play around with settings and such and eventually you'll figure most everything out. Or look for simple tutorials or try the help file (Photoshop actually has decent help files). I don't think I've ever actually used a tutorial; I just steal little elements from it and combine them all together.

Does Elements 2 have the "make your own brush" feature? If so, then you can actually create brushes using the images from the tutorials themselves. If not, IMPROVISE!!!

Improvision is like the best thing when making graphics. You will learn to love it and use it all the time!! ^_^

Does anybody know for sure if Adobe Photoshop comes with Adobe CS3? Yep thats why its called Adobe Photoshop CS3 ;D. If your getting the Creative Suite (which I highly doubt...it's $1300 dollars) then it should be in there.

Nice to know I have photoshop now!
