Maybe we'll learn more in the fourth season. It's not surprising that we don't know much about the Air Nomad seeing as Aang is THE LAST AIRBENDER. Yanno, it's kinda implied in the title? I'd say Aang is a master. Like, I'm a black belt in tae kwon do, which means I have a degree of proficeny, but I still have a ton yet to learn. I think SpiritBender has the right idea. There isnt going to be a fourth season. Yeah, I did notice andmention that point about Aang being the last airbender. I can see Spiritbenders general idea. I just imagined that there would be way more advanced levels of airbending than what Aang has shown us. Even Aang's peers at the Nothern Air Temple picked the air scooter fairly quickly implying that it wasnt particularly difficult to do. There should be some noticably ascending order of forms and skills as are clearly discerniable from the other beind forms.

Well its not exactly going to be the fourth season, but they ae considering making more shows in the Avatar 'verse

Well, since Aang is supposedly the last airbender, I think he calls all of the shots from now on, since he's the only one who can blow a leaf twenty yards away with one blow (that is if you're talking about him being a master in the present). Plus he has the tattoos, and each books is centered around him mastering a certain element; hence, no Book of Air.

^Yeah, I think M&B confirmed there would be no book of air. It is kind of like Star Wars in the sense that by the end of Episode VI (Return of the Jedi), Luke was last of the Jedi and in the expanded universe, he had to recreate the Jedi Order. In that sense its kind of ironic that Mark Hamill is voicing Firelord Ozai. I did get the impression from the Brian's interviews with Sifu Kisu in the book 2 box set that Airbending sortof augments Aangs skill in the other elements as Avatar. I watched it ages ago and Im paraphrasing the heck out of that interview so dont jump down my throat if they didnt say it in those terms but that was the impression that I had.

^Yeah, element bending and the force have absolutely nothing in common.

^We do seem to view many things quite differently. Lets just see how SM reads it.

Im inclined to leave it open for other people to post their opinions on it if they want to since I view that as the whole point of this forum. Dont you?

I would agree for something that isn't known for a fact, but Aang's tattoos are proof of him becoming a master, whats left to opinionate on?

Im still not 100% convinced. Anyway, dude, you dont have to post on this thread if you dont want to. There are 4 pages of threads on this forum that didnt require any special closure. When people get tired of discussing a theory, they just move on to the next one.

I have about a dozen threads in the theories category where I am waiting for a response to continue the discussion with, I like the feature that emails me when there is a new post, but why aren't you convinced, an Air Nomad does not get his tattoos until he has become a master of airbending, didn't you check the sources?

The source mentioned by Lil Cheney is a book that I looked for over the weekend but I couldnt find it. In anycase, my issue about master level air bending skills is not fully addressed. There should be more advanced forms of air bending than what weve seen on the show. For the purposes of a limited tv series focused on the goal of defeating the Firelord, I can see a possible reason why it wasnt explored on air but it still doesnt add up in my book. Aang and Zuko learned the Dancing Dragon form without anyone actually teaching them. The monestaries must have recorded their bending forms in some other manner. Aang could and should have learned more complex forms of airbending.
