Purplejay, well, I think that the reason everyone thinks Zuko's character has to change is cause that's how he's written about in fanfiction. Most Zutara stories revolve around redeeming Zuko's character. It could be fanwriters aren't so off the mark about that, but like Maylene said, the way the latest episodes are looking, his character's undergoing changes that have nothing to do with Katara. XD Ummm........... I, said that. |

Zuko's character has to be changed for him to not be a complete @$$hole, and until that change takes place, zutara has no chance, unless you think Katara would want to date an evil moron.

Though he might not appreciate it now, I think he'll someday realize how much further he's come with Toph's pushing, rather than Katara's coddleing. And how much stronger as an Avatar, a bender, and as a man he has become because of Miss Bei Fong.

I don't have a scanner at all, so anything I draw tends to stay in my sketchbook. XD What do you guys think would be the thing that would make Aang fall for Toph? He needs to be rid of his 'Special K' addiction first. Boy's world right now is just two things. 1. Beat the Fire Lord. 2. Beat the Fire Lord for Katara. Not the world. Just Katara. At least that's how it seems to me. I think an addendum to his list would occur after he beats Ozai. 3. Live a happily ever after in a perfect never before imagined married life with Katara, so perfect it's the stuff of sunshine and candy canes. Where the world is perfect and everything smells like lemon juice and Pledge furniture cleaner. And all we need for Taang to have a fraction of a chance is for Katara to say, "No." One word. That's it. I'd personally bust a gut laughing if the season finale went the way of The Sopranos. Katara walks into the scene and the gang confronts her on her choice between Zuko and Aang. "I...I'm sorry...I choose..." And then it cuts off in mid sentence. Roll in the next season with all new characters. Then the fandom foams...not out of joy but out of sheer frustration. It'd be a thing of beauty. |
