I love that last option!! OMG it made me laugh!
I'd be thrilled with a series about Iroh! We really know so little of the man, it would be cool to see the General before his "wake-up call". It would get my viewership 100%!!

That's really interesting, nandi! Thanks for posting it. I'm really glad they made Iroh who he is now (aren't we all--well, maybe except for admirality lol). It makes me want to know more about that kind of thing--the voice actors and animators doing their thing, and how it all came together...but i'm getting off topic, perhaps. Anyway, as has been said, it would be interesting to see Iroh in his younger days, as a General and all that. A:tlA is focused on kids, so it's intriguing to think how the creators would do a show in that world that centered around an adult. But i'm sure they could, if they set their minds to it. You know them--they can do anything. Sort of like Iroh.

Iroh is like Chuck Norris combined with Dumbledore, except without the 'death by Snape' bit.

^ I don't know who Chuck Norris is but Iroh does kinda remind me of Dumbledore !!!!They r both wise old men and dote on a teenage boy.... But based on the eveidence of the series so far I'm kinda guessing Iroh is not gay.... But they both hav a beard the similarities are endless!!!

^^You don't know who Chuck Norris is?!
He's only the greatest kickass martial artist actor of all time!(OK with the exception of Bruce Lee!)
Anyway KUNG FU ACTION JESUS has it pegged. That's exactly what I think of Iroh! And I still would love to see Iroh in his younger years! To see what he was and to see why he is who he is now would be incredible. It's like Zuko's story, but I think it'd be a bit more intense.

Oooh laaa laaa! ;D Zen, you almost made me faint with this particular pic.! LOL I can't believe it took me this long to find this thread , but then again, I usually don't look in the characters board that much. I would definately fall all over myself if they make an Iroh spin-off! I LOL'd for real when I read your last choice on the pole, but hey, cut Admirality some slack, she would be my sister-in-law after all! ROFL And of course, I voted for the first one, because let's face it, Iroh is one of the main reasons I watch Avatar, he just oozes smexxyness in my book! Oh, and btw Zen, I am so saving that pic. of Iroh and printing it out! admirality, I was just reading over some more of this thread, when I saw you say as far as you know, Iroh's not gay Shame on you for even thinking he could be! I'm surprised at you! LOL

Looks like I'm in the majority for a change . A series focused on Iroh would be awesome. I honestly think it has the potential to be better than Avatar (sorry Aang ). Think of all the amazing stuff we'd be able to see through Iroh's eyes. The trip to the spirit world, evil Azulon (quite possibly the first member of the FN to bend lightening since niether Roku nor Sozin could), the siege of Ba Sing Se, the Sun Warriors, the Order of the White Lotus... I could go on and on! Finally, something that is actually deserving of the word EPIC. In addition, I've always been interested in Iroh as he had such an amazing personal journey. People like to point to Zuko as the person with the greatest amount of change in perspective, but Iroh actually changed even more than Zuko did (it just happened before the series started.) Unlike Zuko, Iroh didn't have anyone to guide him along his transistion. He had to decide what what right for himself, by himself. BTW, Admiralty should love a series centered on Iroh! It means lots of young, hot Ozai - and she's guaranteed to have Ozai win (be crowned Fire Lord) in the end!

A spin-off series on Iroh would be wonderful. I don't think it would be as good as atla but it would still be nice.

*has just posted on the sprite request thread* (Tho getting more Iroh sprites wasn't the complete focus of my post, i'll admit, but i did mention that first. lol) BTW, Admiralty should love a series centered on Iroh! It means lots of young, hot Ozai - and she's guaranteed to have Ozai win (be crowned Fire Lord) in the end! I'll admit that the probability of seeing more of younger brother dear when he was, well, younger is part of what makes me want to see an Iroh spinoff, too... However, I would also want to watch it for Iroh's sake. He's had an amazing life, and you're right--he went through a journey similar to Zuko's without anyone (as far as we know) to help him. And that made him really well equiped to help Zuko on his journey, so it seems kind of...serendipitous. But of course his being able to help Zuko isn't the only good thing about Iroh's spiritual journey (tho it is one of them). (My main reason for that last sentence was wanting to make sure you guys knew I'm not trying to change the focus from Iroh to Zuko or anything, since this is the former's thread. lol)

My first post for my favorite character.
He is just AWESOME. He is so wise and powerful, yet so modest and humorous. He looks like a happy and careless old man who just wants to relax (before his imprisonment of course), but whenever he faces a difficulty, he shows his power. And I think we still didn't see anything close to his 100%. I hope he gets more screen time in later episodes. I will be dissappointed if the show never reveals about his journey to the spirit world or his involvement in WLS.

I'm thinking they'll probably show more about his involvement in WLS. For one thing, Sokka presumably still has that white lotus tile that Pian Dao (if that's how you spell his name?) gave him. During that scene I always think, "Come on, Aang, didn't Gyatso every tell you Pai Sho isn't just a game?" You know, like Iroh told Zuko... But anyway, Iroh's the main member of the WLS that we're really familiar with, so they'll probably show more about him being part of that. It will be interesting to see how and when the gaang realizes/finds out what that gamepiece means.

I honestly want to grow up to be like Iroh. He's strong, funny, extremely intelligent and you've seen how much the ladies like him, even though he's old. I have written school papers off wise things Iroh has said and the teachers though I was quoting Buddha. True story.
That said, where has Buddha been this whole time? It's been how many episodes and he's still a ghost.
PS. I have a fanfic on Iroh's life. No one writes about that awesome guy, so I figured that I'd try to write a story of his life, pre-show. So if any of you guys like to read, look for Tales of The Dragon of the West on Facfiction.net

Definately good, it would explain his complicated past and most likely get into details about his role as the Dragon of the West, and also would give a lot more insite of his journey into the spirit world. We know he went there, but the details of how and what it was about remain fuzzy.
