@taintedmushroom: Oh really? I missed that! How did the game end? I believe the Dutch are the current world champions so I have good hope we might do well during the Olympics too. =) azula flames: Yeah I can't wait to watch tennis either. =D Normally root for the underdog. But Nadal is the exception, seeing as he's the reason I started watching tennis in the first pace. On a side note by the way, the Dutch women swimming team won gold. hooray!

Yeah, the opening ceremony was just freakin' awesome.... we all went "OMG MAGIC!!!" I vaguely remember the previous opening ceremonies... this was certainly the best one I've ever seen. I don't think London wants to compeat to that -..-".... I've been watching swimming and bicycles mainly; I totally love to watch football, swimming, diving, gymnastics, basketball, badminton... and probably a lot more.. XD Holland vs USA football was a draw though... I really thought USA beat Holland... thank goodness it's draw... I know Ignite! Wasn't it great! I was so happy when I saw that, and the Dutch swimming team was very happy as well... XD Hooray! Also, Ruben Houkes (judo) won bronze, so that's a hooray too! I think Holland is really making a chance to win a lot of medals, I really think that it'll surprise the world with what it'll achieve. If that's not the case my bets are on other European countries, indeed. The basketball match today, China v USA, was really exciting in the beginning and the end, but it was really boring in the middle. China just tried to score three points at a time and it kind of frustrated me, because they had failed several times... The defence of the US was a lot better as well... I kind of hoped for more tension.. but it was okay. Oh, and like almost everone stated about the medals... 1China, 2USA, 3Russia...

What about grappling and MMA shouldn't those be Olympic sports as well. And what about rugby?

China's complaining that it's losing money hosting the Olympics.
Well, maybe if they'd let people shop and party, and made the curfew later than 10, they'd generate some money. I bet the visitors to Beijing are thinking this is the worst Olympics ever. XD
The only thing saving this Olympics are all the broken records.

Well there already is alot of combat sports boxing, judo, 2 types of wrestling and taekwondo a little bit of everything. I would love to see rugby in the olympics but its only really played in commonwealth countries (and Ireland ) and it has the common wealth games. Maybe they couldnt play that many full rugby games over a 2 week period far too many injuries I would imagine. We'll everyone over in the uk have been complaing about 2012 since it was announced its incredibly annoying *sigh* BTW I love mens gymnastics *drool*

I don't give a S*** what ANYONE (especially Tungsten) says. What is going on with these China toddlers is BULL S***. There is no dang positive side. It's blatant cheating in the Olympics of all places.

CHina has faked their passports and other documents so there is nothing that can be done.

I hate gymnastics anyway, so I didn't watch the Chinese gymnastics. So...how 'bout that Phelps?

I agree that the Chinese gymnasts look way underage (my roomie went on a huge rant about that last night, btw). But it's not like they made poor Alicia Sacramone fall off the balance beam and fall on her back during her floor exercise. I felt so bad for her, you could tell she was on the verge of tears

These Olympics have been awesome!
I love Michael Phelps. He has made me watch all the swimming, and I love it. One of the best events in my opinion. Also, the gymnastics that they do is ridiculously amazing. Even if they don't do well, they can do 314230948x times more than I can do.

I can't believe the Chinese team is trying to pass off preteens as 16 year olds. Unfortunately, since they can falsify every record they have of their citizens, they can't get pinned for it. Seriously, there are like three girls on their team that look around 10-11 years old. >.<
The US team phailed, especially that one chick that fell down during her floor exercise and off her beam. At least they got something, a silver.

Awww, Alicia Sacramone is an amazing gymnist. She was just having a rough day. She is usually one of the best of the team. I felt so bad for her when she fell both times. And I hate how everyone is going to be on her case for it too.

I guess she was having an off day. But her teammates weren't perfect, either. Didn't they step out of bounds on the floor exercise? It just wasn't the team's day.
I feel sorry for the Chinese girls. They were pretty scrawny. They need to be fed a bit more. The US team was stocky and well built, but the Chinese girls had nothing at all.
