Whoa! There's an Indie rap genre now?! You know you are right, i made a mistake (make note people it happens about once every millennia but in my defense, i hadn't slept for about 20 hours when i made that post.... What i meant to say rather than Indie Rap is "Underground Hip Hop" its basically the same idea as indie rock, getting away from the influence of the major labels and doing something unique and different within its own realm. Wow. My mind was so narrow a few months back. But now, I am so into Undie now. I just love Immortal Technique. So my music range has broadened, so now I can tolerate some rap (aka undie), country by Sheryl crow... Eh, still feel the same about some of those emo rock bands.

I like rock but preferably soft rock and a bit of pop. For examples, Skillet , Flyleaf, Barlow Girl and SuG.
I use to hate country but , Taylor Swift, Kellie Pickler and Martin McBride are all right. Not much into Hip-hop or rap, actually it gives me a headache if I listen to it to long.

Not really sure if I can narrow it down but... punk, japanese, hip hop, rap (not dumb down talking about how much money, cars or girls I have stuff) jazz, country, opera, techno, alternative.
That's really not half but I don't stick with a type, for me its if i like than it goes.

Mainly Grunge, 90's Alt Rock (Foo Fighters, Third Eye Blind, Staind, Primus etc.), Classic Rock (Or Arena, whatever you want to call it. Queen, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, The Who, etc.), 80's/90's Hardcore/Pop-Punk (Descendents, blink-182, Dag Nasty, Sum 41, Say Anything) and a little country, rap and metal on the side.

My taste in music is all over the place. The only stuff I don't really listen to is Country, Rap, and Pop (though there are some rare exceptions). I used to play violin in school, so I've even been known to enjoy some classical from time to time.

I think he just meant JPop/Rock. ^^; = not a genre. Actually, it is. It is seperated from Rock (American, Canadien, British, etc.). In itunes, myspace, etc. it is considered its own genre. Mainly, because the beat, sound, lyrics are very different for the most part.

I never said there were no similarities. Just not many. Also, Alice Nine is only one J-rock band. There are many bands very different from Slipknot. Also, there is usually a major difference in lyrics. Not Japanese to American but just the plain out lyrics. check this link out.... www.123exp-music.com/t/00334305989/
