I recently read this book called, "The Russian Concubine" well it's a sad story, about forbidden love between a Russian girl that was rasied to speak English, and has an English accent. And a Chinese communist, and well they fall in love. The girl lives in China and well it also tells about the civil war going on in China between the nationalists and the communists. It takes place between 1928-1929. But the ending was really sad.

Historical fictions are the best :3 Rarely do any of them make me cry though. Don't know why XD

this year for english we did literacy circles and our teacher gave us some chocies and we got to choose the book that we were most interested i nand i read a book called the cage, it's about the halocaust and how this 16 year old girl become a mother and what it was like waiting for a better tomorrow, it is one of my favorite books very very sad but it was so rich in detail it was a definate page turner.

Question, is "The Cage" a fictional book or is it a true story? Because most Holocast stories I've heard of are real.

Just randomly picked a book off the shelf awhile ago. It's called Marley & Me. It's about a couple trying to start their life together and their new puppy. I know it sounds lame but I was in tears by the end. I think I may just have a weakness in books like that because Old Yeller did the same thing.

The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold was especially depressing.

You know, there is a book about an Austrailian girl and her father burned her with acid and she goes to a boarding school and doesn't talk because of the trauma, and as time goes on she starts to open up more...it was pretty sad but it ended well. Written as a diary
