Ok here are some books that made me sad.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame, (Stupid Esmerelda!)
The Phantom of The Opera
Shakespeare Tragities
Like in the Hunchback, Esmerelda was a manipulative little b----! She knew that Quasimodo liked her, and she used him for her own perposes! I kind of was glad when she died! The only sad part was that Quasimodo wasted his life away for her! What a waste of life! But at least I'm glad that her goat Djali survived. ;D
As for the Phantom of the Opera, well nobody would even kiss Erik, AKA the Phantom. Then at the end of the story, the only person who gave a dang about him and finally kissed him was the choir girl Christine before she walked out of his life with her finace Raul.
I'll name the Shakespeare Tragities in order of the saddest.
Hamlet Othello Machbeth Julius Caeser Romeo and Juliet

Germinal (I think there's supposed to be an accent in there) was pretty sad. The new guy moves to town and her boyfriend's threatened, so he marries her and beats her, in front of her own family who call her a b-word *sigh* I couldn't really read past this point.

Hannibal Rising - Spoiler warning: What they did to Hannibal's little sister was just sick and sooooooo sad, it almost made me cry, I don't blame him for doing what he did to them.

Animorphs. It was the last one and, SPOILER ALERT it was the part where Tobias picked up Rachel's urn and, sigh. I couldn't see.

Also Beowolf, I almost cried when he died of the dragon vemon. I wasnt sad when Beowulf died, but when Grendel died in the novel "Grendel" that was more sad because he was a deeper character. Just about any little kid book where any character dies makes me cry.

I love that series, and yes, the last book made me cry. Black Beauty also made me cry. The part I cried at was the end though.

Does anyone read any book on real people? Ok fine I'll come clean! You're not going to like this, and I know you'll probably hurt me for this too. But I'll come clean! I nearly lost it when I read a couple of books on Stalin. No not because he was killing people, I knew that was coming, but a for a different unexpecting reason. I kind of started to feel sorry for him. Don't ask why I just did. It's because I'm human, call me stupid, evil and naive I could care less. So that's my story.

No, it's just a sign that whoever wrote it was a really good author to make you care for someone who's supposed to be a villain. I felt bad for the sidekick murderer in In Cold Blood. Probably the author is more interesting than that book,
