Edgar is hard to understand. He's the bad kind of emo (not to mention the annoying kind of emo, too)

Lord Loss by Darren Shan. His "demons" sounded ridiculous to me. He had a crocodille-dog with the hands of a woman. Then there was one with the body of a three year old, green skin, no eyes, flames burned in its empty sockets, it had mouths on its palms, and there was a layer of cockroaches eating its skull away...
He was trying way too hard.

Wicked by Gregory MacGuire (<Spelling on the last name?). It ruined Oz with all the sexual immorality. D:

We all know men have hidden desires portrayed through their work. XDXDXD I heard that Shakespeare was gay, though. Maybe that's why R&J sucked so much; he only knows guy/guy relationships!!! The nurse and the friar made such a better couple than R & J. well, except that, you know, he wrote the same in reverse to woman . and friendship like that wasn't instantaneuosly considered "LYKE ZOMGFZ! HE'S LYKE! BBQ CHIPZ! GAYNESS!!!!!1!!!!!1111!!!!!!1!!!!!!!! HE'S GAI!!11! RUN PEEPLEZ!!!!" but, anyway, he's still awesome We all know men have hidden desires portrayed through their work. XDXDXD I heard that Shakespeare was gay, though. Maybe that's why R&J sucked so much; he only knows guy/guy relationships!!! The nurse and the friar made such a better couple than R & J. Heh, I like that logic. I dunno, I like Shakespeare because it's just so quirky and a lot of times seems so overplayed. But maybe that's because of the language. The only one of his plays that I read I didn't like was R+J...maybe because the only plot was that shitty romance. I mean, yes avatar has romance...and people get weird about it...but at least it's not the whole dang plot! gee, maybe that's because it's a romance play! @chibi: emo? how?

Lord Loss by Darren Shan..... it had mouths on its palms,LOL, I just had to post this: I luv Dei. ^_^ I didn't think Charlie Bone was that bad but it lacked details. It doesn't need to have the amount of details Eragon had or anything, but if it's a magical world, you need to explain it way more!! Plus, it's an HP rip-off. @historyman: Have you read about Edgar's life? And he always wrote about such dark and ominous stuff. He married his cousin and he died in a gutter after drinking the light away. He had a right to be emo. And R&J wasn't much of a romance. If that's what Shakespeare thought of as romance, then he must've been high when he wrote the play. I don't see how it became so popular, especially with it being soooo long.

^ At a very young age (mere months before the birth of his own first child), and with whom he did not live, preferring the company of London actors. The first third or so of his sonnets are addressed to a male. Why? Does this make you like him less, or admire his wider range of comprehension and thereby expression? And eh, Poe wrote some horrific stuff that I can't stand, I'll agree... but he also wrote some really good stuff. He was brilliant. (Try "The Purloined Letter," if you haven't already.) And there has been some controversy in recent years regarding his death: the accepted story is that he was drunk in a gutter. However, it is the practice to give medical students an anonymous situation for which they must make a diagnosis, and when one was given Poe's circumstances of death (without knowing who it was, of course), the conclusion after studying several angles and possibilities was hydrophobia. Which is to say he may have been bitten by something rabid. o.O Even more weird.

Dei-sama rules! *hugs him to death* Wait, he's already dead . . . B.) I know what you mean about R & J. It was over 3 freakin' days people, and they get married less than 24 hours after meeting! I mean, that love's only skin-deep.

Maybe if he had extended on their love for like a year instead of 3 days, it would've been more believable.

copy /pasted from another thread:
Lord Foul's Bane; The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, the Unbeliever fantasy series written by Stephen R. Donaldson.
is 100% crap.
it was recommended to me many times on amazon.com... apparently it has a cult following, so i just thought i would warn you.
when i was reading it, i couldn't help but think, that everyone who gave this a positive review must simply be a bad person.
the main character is like an twisted version of an anti-hero. who never seeks redemption because he believes he is above it. the main character rapes a little girl, and is never punished within his fictional community.
i actually read page to page untill about 40% of the way through, then i skimmed the whole thing, because it got some good reviews. no redeeming quality's, do not read.
so if, like me, this is recommended to you because you rated some fantasy high on your list, steer clear of this one.
and just to lighten it up; i recommend the dark tower series, pillars of the earth, the stand, and anything by OSC.
