I've always seen it like that. Now you've inspired me to think of it another way. Let's see... I'll post what I can think of in a minute

Or maybe... Katara wants to stay at the South Pole to rebuild her home and Zuko, giving up the Fire Lord title to Iroh, joins to help her and be with her.

Wow! I go away for a couple of hours and come back to a new thread! If I wouldn't have to clean it up I'd throw confetti! I was reading over the discussion I was in the middle of when I left and I want to point something out. This is re: the disappointment factor of season 3. #1: I deliberately asked for opinions on season 3 through The Runaway. The Puppetmaster may be good, I don't know, but it isn't relevant to the discussion because ... we were talking about the episodes that have aired in the US already. #2: People defend the season as if there is some arbitrary plot timeframe on the creators. It's absurd to the point of hilarious. The gaang needs to hide out so the show has to suck? I know that's not what you're saying but that's the result. There are so many things that could be happening on the way to the eclipse. Read some fanfics there's lots of good ideas out there and they grow straight from the truth that's already been laid out for us. To suggest that the creators would have a lot more interesting things going on or things relating back to what we've seen before if the eclipse weren't so durn far away is ... LOL. They're the CREATORS. They made the world, they can make it good. Okey dokey. Then there was some talk of Zuko being slapped around which I am always in favor of and some Katara/Azula/Zuko pwning talk. Keep in mind that it's hard to judge who's better between Katara and Azula because of the differing elements and the fact that Azula had most likely never fought a water bender before. Whew! Now I'm caught up. Now let's talk about hair. BTW: Kohana can you add my aunt's fics to the fanfics section? I'll get the links for you. Thx.

That's an awesome way to put it Or they get married and they live in the Fire Nation, then they travel to go help the Air population rebuild and the Water Tribes as well. But I also like the idea of Zuko giving up his throne to be with Katara, because that shows a deep devotion and love for him to give away what he's been fighting for all this time. OMG Zutara hair is so smexy

@mahatista: Sure, just give the link and I'll add it. ^_^ luna: I like the idea of travelling. To help out Aang and the other nations be one again. Especially because the Avatar, a wealthy earthbender, a strong waterbender and the Fire Prince are together and set a good example.

That's why I think it'd just be amazing if Zuko could join them, because they'd truly be a great team. All four elements with something different to contribute. night: Lol, okay =D

Yes, me too. But seriously, it's just taking forever for anything to happen this season.
Hmm, I need to update my drabble thing.

@ Kohana: Thanks!
And to jump into your discussion with Luna and night, I love the traveling idea. Especially since they still need some adventure to keep things spicey and ... dangerous.
But I really can't see Katara wanting to go back to the South Pole to live if she had the option of living in a nice temperate climate. But maybe that's just me. I like snow, don't get me wrong, but I can't imagine anyone making the South Pole home if there's an option.

@mahatista: You're welcome.
I don't know. If they could rebuild it like the North Pole, I think Katara would love to live there; she'd be with her Gran-Gran and father again, and she would be in her element. The South Pole is where she has grown up.

I can see it going both ways: Katara grew up there, and naturally people are going to feel some sort of nostalgia for where they grew up (whether good or bad) and I don't think she has any reason to not like her home that much. But I do think she might be more eager to stay in the Fire Nation after all of the world she'd seen outside of the South Pole. Let's face it, there was like nothing going on in the South Pole, but if she stayed in the Fire Nation and became Fire Lady I can see her really applying her bossy, good natured self to good efforts. Plus the adventure is a must after how active her life has become

I agree she's seen so much I think she might not be satisfied with just white as far as the eye can see anymore. Although she definitely would want to be with Gran Gran and Hakoda again. Of course, Gran Gran needs to retire to a warmer climate too, so maybe they could get her a nice cottage on Ember Island next door to the twins. Since she has traveled so much she also might not be satisfied with palace life either. As oppulent as it is, it really doesn't offer much more variety than the SP.
