1. Song wasnt the first to get through to Zuko. She was the first to want to get through to Zuko. 2. Everyone seems to think Zuko's actions in CoD are unforgiveable. Why? Well, it's not necessarily what WE as the audience thinks, more of what Katara will think of him, what the Gaang will think of him, what Iroh will think of him. And it is what they think of him and the path Zuko takes that determines how "forgivable" his actions are. Just for example: From Katara's end, she: 1. Opened up to him and let her guard down a bit 2. Started to think the was something changed in him 3. Watched him attack her friend and fougt him herself only to have it end with Aang's near death. Now, those are three very serious things. Can Katara forgive him? Possibly. How quickly and how it would come about remains to be seen. Is he unforgivable? No. But it will all determine on how the story progresses and how each of the characters come to forgive him (if at all) that is key.

2. Everyone seems to think Zuko's actions in CoD are unforgiveable. Why? Because alot of people hate the idea of Zutara and perhaps have not forgiven Zuko themselves for his actions in the season finale.

1. Song wasnt the first to get through to Zuko. She was the first to want to get through to Zuko. On second thought, you’re right. Iroh and Aang, with their talk in “The Blue Spirit” and everything, got Zuko to stop and think before Song did (but other than that…). His actions aren’t unforgivable but…they are hard things to forgive. I mean, Katara would have to forgive him for: 1. betraying her after she let her guard down and opened up to him 2. nearly cost the world it's last hope for peace by aiding Azula in attacking Aang 3. nearly costing Aang his life And that is a lot to overcome. That doesn’t mean “zomg Katara will never ever forgive Zuko ever” but it does mean that it’ll be difficult for Zuko to get back in Katara’s good graces.

I think that Kataang was the most harmed because Aang needs to have clean chuckras he is the avatar and he needs the world to be his number one focus....not Katara, I think Katara will end up with Zuko because Katara opend up to him but Zuko opened up to her...it was the first time he talked about his scar.

Katara and Zuko did not open up. They merely shared two thoughts and facts. Then Zuko once again tried to kill her and Aang. Also, who says Aang needs to have something stupid like clean chukras. Mastering the Avatar State is not required. Aang was out- matched for once. He could have won with all elements mastered. All great heroes have love. Aang can save the world and have Katara's love. That is still and always will be a fact.

I don't know if I would exactly call cleaning the chakras as stupid, man. It seems to me like clearing spiritual roadblocks to become a more rational and enlightened individual is the exact opposite as stupid...
I'm pretty sure mastering the Avatar State is kind of a necessity as well. Since, y'know, Aang would go berserk and nearly kill people whenever he lost control of himself. And I'm afraid it's not a fact, it's still just your opinion, just like what I just posted is my own opinion.

Control over the avatar state is a great advantage, but I do believe there is a way to have Katara as well.

Well then, let us know what that other way is.
I personally HATE those kinds of loopholes. "The power of love prevailed! I was totally joking when I said, 'let her go', I can't believe you took me seriously!" <blargh

Actually, mastering the Avatar State is required. If Aang doesn't master the AS, then he creates an imbalance within himself. By mastering it, then he wouldn't be vulnerable to his emotions. Not all great heroes had love, most had to sacrifice that part of themselves. What I think you're trying to say is that Aang doesn't need the AS the way he, and everyone else, believes. I'm a firm believer that the Avatar State shouldn't be manipulated so it can be used as a weapon.
As for Aang saving the world and still having Katara's love in the end, I think it's possible. It may seem impossible because the Guru said that he has to let go of all his attachments in order to master the AS, but from the looks of it, it just means that he has to set his priorities straight. He can't place Katara in front of his duties, responsibilities, etc. By saving the world, he's saving Katara's world, and bringing forth the possibility of still having her love when the war is over.

Good points but i think Katara will fall in love with Zuko...If you watched the game the Avatar Kuruk fell on love with someone and they almost got married but the spirits didn't want them together...

Just watch, there's going to be some type of loophole in whole "Aang has to let go of Katara to master the avatar state" thing.
Seriously, Kataang is not going to die. The only thing it did, is guarantee that we will see more Kataang development in season 3.
What type of development.....i don't know
^Why would Katara fall in love with Zuko?

Katara will fall in love with zuko because she is attracted to guys with troubled pasts (Haru Jet) also there is so much forshadowing that proves it like the crown she wears in The Blue Spirit IT HAD DRAGON'S ON IT that's fire nation.

I don't know if it was just me, but I think Katara had a thing for Jet because to her, he was the Robin Hood type. She's clearly an advocate for wanting to save the world and ending the Fire Nation's rule on all the nations, so she sees a cute guy who has the same beliefs and *snap* she has a rock star crush on him. Zutara =/= Foreshadowing I do not believe. The only scene I can use to call forth foreshadowing to the possibility that Zuko and Katara's relationship could develop into a romantic one comes from the cave scene in CoD. Then again, everyone sees everything else differently. I have this theory that the reason they included Katara's crush on Jet is so that if she were to develop feelings for Aang OR Zuko, then she'll realize right away that it would be totally different then what she felt for Jet.
