VoC stumbled upon the scene just in time to see kaibasgirl walk to a waiting mahatista.
Goodness, I finally found everyone. But that's what I get for being late. thought Voc with a sigh.
Dusting herself off from the long journey she yelled with joyful abandon.
"Hi guys!"

CHAPTER THREE
<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3
Maha awoke when she fell out of bed. It had been a nice nap, but now she was woozy with hunger.
She remembered the scene when they had returned to the ship. The first sight they'd seen was a furious Skye who ranted and raved at them for their inconsideration.
Maha had scowled at Skye. It wasn't her fault that he was so dead asleep he didn't even feel himself being moved to the small boats. He had a point about the glasses drawn on his face, but who sleeps that deeply?
Sokka had been fully on the perturbed honorary Zutarian's side of course.
She'd tried to tell him that his head would hurt twice as badly if he'd gone with them. Kai's idea of 'fun' was a killer. Oh it started out innocently enough with chasing fireflies.
Then had come the tree climbing. The pirate-taunting. The Bato pantsing. And very quickly after that more tree climbing.
But with his fellow-warrior by his side, Skye was not about to let up the indignation. Maha had wondered if they should have had a firebender carry Skye on his back to THE TREE and decided perhaps they should have. At the very least they shouldn't have drawn glasses on his face.
"I'm going to bed." Mahatista had said. "No interruptions."
She'd frozen for a moment, reminded of something vague, a deja vu. Then she shook it off and moved on.
She'd frozen again and looked back at Victim.
"I will forgive you for your tardiness later." She'd mumbled giving her friend a leaden-armed hug before continuing on.
She'd frozen for another moment remembering there was something she had to do. Check on captives or something. Whatever it was it would have to wait until later.
Wearily she'd followed the other would-be revelers as all returned to their cabins for a nice nap. She'd frozen again a couple of times along the way with profound thoughts, but they'd left her head so quickly she'd decided they must not have been so profound after all.
And now she could barely get her legs to move.
Time to find someone and figure out what was on the itinerary for today. The crazy-map would help.
A big yawn and stretch, a quick bath and a purple fuzzy sweater certainly make the day look more promising, she decided happily as she left her cabin.

Solva yawned and stumbled onto the deck, still partly asleep. She was annoyed with herself for falling asleep right before each activity and therefore missing out on them. She vowed from there on to stay conscious enough to join in the festivities. After all, she was supposed to help tie Lu to the tree, but fell asleep soon after receiving the message.
"Tea!" she said groggily. "I could use some tea, especially if I'm going to stay awake. Where's Iroh?"
She set off towards the galley searching for the kindly old general, who surely would be generous enough to share his tea with her. Solva had almost reached the galley's doors when she was knocked over by something small and furry. Looking up at her assailant, she saw it was none other than Pecan, the Zutarian Dog. Chuckling to herself, she gave Pecan several hugs and doggie treats which earned her a lick on the face. ^_^
She climbed to her feet and walked into the galley. She wasn't surprised to find it mostly empty; everyone was still probably exhausted after last night. She spotted Iroh in the corner, calmly sipping a cup of tea.
"Good morning, General Iroh!" she said cheerfully, walking up to him. He looked up at her and smiled. "So Sleeping Beauty finally decides to wake up," he replied, pouring her a cup of steaming tea. "It's jasmine," he informed her as she took a sip. They sat drinking tea together for a few minutes, waiting on the others to wake up.

Luthien finished up her morning shower and stepped into the main part of her cabin to get dressed for the coming day. Today she would be wearing robes reminiscent of the sky at dusk, the moment during the 24-hour cycle when daylight and darkness touched. She thought it was appropriate.
After slipping on her robes, she looked over at Pecan's crate... and noticed it was empty. "Hmm," Lu mused, "little guy must have gotten hungry waiting for me to finally get ready. I suppose it's off to the galley, then!"
Lu walked down the corridors, hearing the sounds of people stirring as they got up. Once she arrived at the doorway of the galley, she peered in quietly, and saw Solva and Pecan listening intently to Iroh as he told tales of his days as a young soldier in the Earth Kingdom. But the stories he told weren't of military glory - instead, they were humorous anecdotes describing the old general's exploits with the local flora and fauna, and the occasional pretty lady or two.
"Mind if I join you guys?" Lu asked, announcing her presence.

(I wasn't sure how this is normally done, but I appreciate being included in the truffle adventure, so I'll just type a few lines and let you take me where you wish. ) "What a day," TWB mumbled dreamily in the safety of her cabin. "All the sun and surf...how do we manage? Why yes, I would like more truffles...zzz..." She remained in the safety of her dream as she rolled over to the other side of her bed, blissfully unaware of the adventures that were to come.

Day 1- South Pole (serving hot cocoa)
Day 2- Stay on the Ship (Dinner)
Day 3- Waterbending Scroll Riverside Day 4- "Bato of the Water Tribe" Abbey/The Chase deserted town Day 5- Spirit Oasis at the North Pole (serving hot cider) Day 6- Crystal Catacombs/Jasmine Dragon tea shop Day 7- Hot Springs/Royal Palace (including a tour, visit to the turtleduck pond, and formal feast) Day 8- Zuko's Hot Air Balloon
"Uh oh" Thought Maha as she gazed at the map. "I hope Bato's in a forgiving frame of mind for the abbey adventure. And getting to the abandoned town is going to be a challenge. I need more ginseng tea." Looking over at Jee who was studying her suspiciously she smiled her sweetest smile. "I checked on our prisoners." She nodded. "They took care of their personal needs and I told them they were free to go." He relaxed a bit. "But they went back to the cell for some reason and told me to leave them alone." She shrugged and went back to studying the map.

Chibi, swaying lazily in a hammock she'd strung up and wiggling her toes in the breeze, looked over and said "I wonder if the nuns still sell that excellent honeysuckle rose perfume they used to make... Y'know, captain, Toph and the giant badgermoles promised to help us get to the abandoned city. Is that going to be aboveground, or beneath it?"
"Not sure," mumbled maha, her eyes still on the map.
Chibi listened to the calls of the gullcats and put another saltwater taffy in her mouth. "Dude, this is the most fun cruise I've ever been on."
Just then, Sokka cartwheeled by. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" he seemed to be yelling.
"Not good enough!" screamed his sister, running after him, rather disheveled.
"Er, what happened here?" Chibi asked The Duke, who was following along with a crowd of people who had turned up to see what was going on. The Duke blushed and lowered his eyes. "Uh, I think Sokka got Toph to make a key for the brig out of that meteor rock of hers, and, well... he went in there, and... well, you know Katara."
"Oh, dear." Chibi shook her head, wondering about the ethics of using bloodbending to torture your siblings. HEaring giggling from the crowd, she went to see what could be done about the feuding Water Tribe siblings, as the ship steamed nearer to the Abbey.

"Ooooo, that's gotta hurt!" Lu remarked as she saw Katara smack Sokka soundly in the back of the head with a water whip. Glancing over to a nearby corner, she saw Toph smiling slyly while petting Pecan's soft fur. The young Earthbender enjoyed hanging out with the Zutarian dog, since his short, sturdy legs help keep him low to the ground - and easy to "see." Plus, Toph loved it when Pecan kissed her on the nose.
Walking up to Toph, Luthien said, "You knew that was going to happen, didn't you?" "Yep," the blind girl replied. "Why else do you think I'd help Sokka out? This is the most fun I've had in at least two hours!" "You're awful," Lu laughed, "but I'll agree this is entertaining." Just then, Sokka screamed past in the opposite direction, rubbing his aching head.

"Why yes, I am afraid of the dark." Maha answered Toph's snarky query as they approached the giant hole she'd made in the ground. "Really, the abbey is walking distance above ground, I don't see why we have to do this now."
"Practice." Iroh answered wisely for his little wisdom protege who nodded wisely.
"For the long haul to the abandoned town. Try it here. If you can't hack it...." She paused for a second and Maha felt as if her very skeleton were being given a 'once-over'. "And I suspect you can't ... you can spend the rest of the day on the ship."
"I can hack it." Maha grumbled rushing to be the first into the hole. "Okay, I just don't want to be first." She said rushing back out and taking her place to shuffle behind Toph and Iroh as they led the way in.

With a curious glance behind her at maha's premature interment, Chibi hurried to catch up to Kunoichi, Pixar, and TWB, who were already listening to Sokka.
"Okay, everybody," the young Water Tribesman was saying, striking a self-important pose as his sister glowered in the background, "I will be your tour guide today, as Katara has realized the foolishness of trying to vanquish such a formidable warrior as I -- ouch! Katara, why'd you do thaaat?" he whined. "Fine, look, the first place we're going is the hallowed ground where I once told Prince Grouchypants to his face how stupid I thought he was. OW!!"
The company moved off, oohing and aahing and snapping pictures of the fabled sites of Great Zutarian Import.

"Funny, it's a wonder there aren't any scorchmarks on this 'hallowed ground'," TWB joked to Luthien as they went along. "I'd have thought 'Prince Grouchypants' would have dished out the discipline after hearing a comment like THAT."

"I know," Luthien remarked. "Guess Zuko must have been too preoccupied with other things that day to throttle Sokka!" Luthien added as she gave TWB a playful jab in the ribs. "Hmm... does it smell perfumey, or is it just me?"

VoC smiled and continued taking snapshots of the scenery. It was truly breathtaking to be here. Sokka had announced that he was to be the tour guide for the day and that suited her just fine. Suddenly an odor passed her way.
"Yeah, Lu I think you're right."

Bagpipe appeared behind them, sniffing the air and saying, "I smell something, too. We must be getting close to the abbey."
There were other murmurs of agreement from the rest of the group.

"How can you tell? Do they make perfumes here, or is that just incense?"
TWB moved along behind the others, then after a few seconds had passed by, she couldn't resist a simple play on words.
"No wonder the people who live here get so angry when the abbey's threatened...because they're incensed!"
