I've been lurking and enjoying the art. I tried to look up some Zutara art at DA and got hit with spoilers. I'm on a mission to be pure, but I needs my art fix. Thanks guys for keeping the jones at bay!
Mahatista, I wanted you (and your aunt) to know that I am falling hopelessly, totally in love with "Mask and Veil." It's so well-done that I find myself kind of being sucked into the story without even knowing it. I recommend this to all Zutarians - you won't be disappointed!

I sense a horrible slogan coming up... *resists the urge* XD
And I would love to start reading it, but I learned earlier that I have the inability to keep fanfictions and the canon plot separate. So I'm going to have to wait until the series ends.
However, I did just realize something... it's not just Zutara hair... the entire Fire Nation has this thing about luxurious, glossy, long, healthy hair. And it tends to be done up in elaborate knots, etc., of course. But no other nation seems to have this obsession with hair and showing it off. It's all either short, or raggy, or done up and covered with ornamentation... or simply bald. Hmm. Maybe we could call them the Pantene Nation, instead. XP (Oooh ~ more Zutara foreshadowing!)
^^ Thanks so much Lu! You're always so great and supportive.
It's hard to stay inspired. I see Luna going on hiatus because of season 3 disappointment and I'm sorry to say I understand.
The season is actually inspiring me analytically though. I'm trying to come up with a coherent answer to the question "what's wrong with this season?" And working on the fanfic has actually given me some new thoughts on the subject.
I think others might be quick to accuse disenchanted Zutarians of ship-blindness and assume we're disgruntled with season 3 only because Zutara didn't happen, but I'm absolutely certain that's not the case with me.
Anyone else feel as disgruntled with the season up through The Runaway as I have been? Do any of you think it's ship-related or is it more for you?
There've been great moments, but the story ... that's the analysis I'm trying to get a handle on.
Anyway, thanks again Lu! Keep posting the art -- I need it!
