Solvabibble: love the quote. i couldn't agree more. Pixar: LOL absolutely hilarious! i could actually picture them in an awkward situation such as that! *sighs* if only i had the talent to draw... i would seriously consider turning that funny scene in to a fanart! *ahem* sooooo.... any takers?

@ Solvabibble, "The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet" develops in only five days, from their first encounter till the moment of their deaths. To describe their love as beautiful would be a very poor description, in fact Juliet cannot describe it, or rather there aren't enough words to. Theirs is a love that is powerful, chaotic, intense, even brutal and leads to violence.
I think it should be mentioned that Romeo begins the story as moody young man, that broods over his love relationship with Juliet's cousin, Rosaline. But the moment he sees Juliet he forgets all about his first love. And becomes a more lively man.
I know that many people dislike the comparison of Zutara with Romeo and Juliet, in a another note Sokka would make a great Mercutio, but when you read deeper analyzes of the play, I think that the characters and situations had been placed is such a way that they can move in that direction, if that is the desire of the creators. I do discard the idea of the double suicide, but I doubt a happy ending.

The thing about "Romeo and Juliet", IMHO (which happened to be prompted by one fictional Edward Cullen xD), is that it may have been passionate and quite romantic, but it seems to be more like an infatuation for Juliet is what Romeo had. He didn't get to live long enough to see if it really was what they thought it was. mintjujubes: It would be awesome if that was drawn. xD

Yeah, this is exactly what I was talking about. They didn't really know one another, it was just young infatuation. After all, Juliet wasn't even 14 during the play, and I forogt how old Romeo was, but he wasn't that old, either. Karatelover: I don't remember Juliet being a nun... Maybe you are thinking of Isabella in Measure for Measure?

I've never read or seen Romeo and Juliet so...
But anyways, so Zutara, great stuff eh? ;D Are there any topics to talk about, or has the thread just kinda died off?

You've never read it? Go check it out from a library or, like, rent a copy of Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet (the one with Claire Danes in it). It's very interesting. Zutara hair... it's pretty awesome, am I right?

^ I don't really like Romeo and Juliet. I'm surprised you haven't read it in school though. That's where I read it
Zutara hair? ... what does Zutara hair look like? O.o is that like a combination of Katara and Zuko's hair? cause if so, then I would have to say no, because that kind of creeps me out. I meen, Zuko with hair loopies? ....

Zutara hair is a sort of running gag we have in the Catacombs. Whenever conversation runs out, or we're talking about some sort of thing people might get mad about, just add Zutara hair to the end and everything's good. Zutara hair looks like this, actually: (sorry if this image turned out huge... >.<) Oh, and lovely new art by Drisela. drisela.deviantart.com/art/Zutara-Meditation-69194733

mmmmmmmmmmm
Romeo and Julieta was a zutara story but of other time; we cannot compared it with the zutara that we have in avatar.
Since romeo and Julieta just have one 3 factors of zutara; complicated, problematic love and prohibited.

OOOOooo! That's pretty dang sexyy! I'm lovin the hair! No, my school hasn't read on Shakespeare, in the area that I live in, the 9th graders are still in jr high. Pretty much all that we've read has been short stories like "The Most Dangerous Game" and stuff like that. Really boring...

Here I just read Hamlet... But Romeo and Julieta is so popular that yea, I know the main story and that.
Still; doesn't complete the zutara concept...but is a example in the classic literature.

Yes, that beautiful, shiny, silky Zutara hair... OT: I remember reading "The Most Dangerous Game" in 9th grade. I kinda liked it On Topic: Hamlet actually seems to be more suited to Maiko, with Hamlet and Ophelia's relationship. Hopefully they both reach a better end than those two, because I'm not a fan of Maiko but I don't want either Z or M to die tragically. @bpt: Nice hair =D And I luff Drisela's work. ^^

My new zutara/blue paint fan vid!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=-a6sbyZoinMmmm... I don't see any maiko neither zutara in hamlet.. Hamlet was more about betrayal and revenge. I really don't know If I can define the feelings of Zuko as maiko or zutara... But i admit that it could make an interesting zutara fanfic considering that Katara has a older brother and a father, are of lower condition and all... mmmm---....Yea...It could work... Still; I hate the end of that thing...everybody dies always there XD..
