^XD I would laugh so hard if they were commentating and suddenly they both said, "Oh, and you can see here that Katara's body language etc. etc. Yeah.. we totally did that on purpose." That would be justice.

The whole age dispute is utterly irrelevant, as many have said. The main reason girls now are usually in a relationship with older boys is because there is some maturity difference at that point in life between the two sexes. Aang is pretty mature, no? (The responsibility of saving the world does that to people. @@

On the earlier screencaps : Am I the only one who felt that the animation and drawing quality of the real life kiss in DoBS was a little bit sub-par to what we normally see? (Or at least in comparison to the romantic Nightmares and Daydreams one) I really wish that those had been flip-flopped.

That would be really awesome if Katara initiated the kiss. Since the first season, Aang's crush has developed into love, and it's been obvious that he feels attracted to Katara. Katara's feelings though, have constantly been debated, but if she gave him a kiss, it would be certain. ^__^

Im sorry, but im so sick of Zutarans telling me that me using screen caps for logic is somehow wrong.

screencaps are taken directly from the show... they are as much of the show that we can put on the forum.
if I could put up a mini clip, I would, but this forum doesnt have that function.

what would you suggest instead? that we over-analyze discussions within a self-perpetuating fandom?
that we forsake and ignore what the actual show gives us, and instead provide literary theams outside of the show for why what we want to happen will happen?

give me a break. Katara's body language was put in there for a reason. M&B are not going to spend their time making a youtube video explaining what they have already made evident in the show. at least not yet.


when the series is done, M&B will do voice-over commentary for DOBS, and I will send you 50$ if they do not mention kataras body language as being receptive during the kiss.

but until then, I am going to use what actually exists in the show, instead of inflating what is in the fandom for my arguments, thank you very much.

I didn't say don't use screencaps. I said don't OVER ANALYZE screencaps.

Lately, I've been distancing myself from ships, so I'm less of a Zutarian than I was a year ago. As of now, I'm closer to someone who's neutral and I can't honestly sit here and watch that scene and say "Oh yeah, Katara's so head over heels for Aang" WITHOUT ANY FURTHER DEVELOPMENT. Keep in mind, I haven't see WAT.

Shizuma, ur fanart was very nice. A bit more detailed than I woulda thought someone could go for the scar, but it was still amazing. Really made me feel what Aang went through when he got that scar.

@zenjamin and paraiba: of course there is a lot of development that still needs to happen. Even though we know how Aang feels, and we have done a TON of analyzing to try and figure out how Katara feels, there is still a lot more we still need or would like to know.

@mash: it would definitely be amazing if Katara initiated the second kiss on the lips. For me, that would definitely, without any possible counterargument (even though I am a firm supporter of this ship) that Katara loves Aang, and not as a motherly/sisterly way. and welcome back to the board, hope you don't disappear for another few months

I agree, Katara initiating the second kiss on the lips would prove that she loves Aang in a romantic way and not in a motherly way. The only way one would have to disprove is if they twist it into something it's not.
