Haha, that’s great. But yes, Zutara do seem to outnumber us but we do outmatch them in terms of canon.

Zukaang subtext would make me a very happy Growly indeed! That's a real pairing of opposites and one that seems to mesh a lot better than Zutara.

Indeed. Zukkang do mesh well and has enough subtext (or hints, whatever) to keep it afloat. Sadly, it has very little shippers.

There's so much subtext for the pairing that it amazes me that there are so few fans out there. Largely anyone who enjoys slash favours the Zuko/Sokka pairing (which I don't really see...) or Zuko/Jet, which is cool in my book, but also very recent.

The lack of Zukkang shippers amaze me as well. I mean, Zuko/Jet and Zuko/Sokka is all well and good but you have so much to work with Zukkang. It gives Zutara and such a run for its money with all the subtext.

So, I believe the subject up for consideration is the fact that we Kataangs are generally outnumbered - both in terms of people and in terms of fics/art/etc. Why is that? Any views?
