Why can't Zuko let Song touch his scar? Because he couldn't? His growth during season 2 was pretty substantial (even if people think that he went against it in the finale) and if they were to meet now... well it would be different. And it's important to remember, after season 3, there are three more seasons slotted; while we don't know what M+B plans are there, there's an incredibly good chance Song will come back then, if not in season 3.

Is it true, are we that fortunate, where did you hear about that?

Actually no. It looks like there's only three seasons, as it seems that the Avatar production is wrapping up. Rufftoon, who's been working with the Avatar crew for several months now, has left since the crew no longer needs her work as a storyboard artist. You can see it in her LJ here. Now if there was to be more seasons, I think they would keep her employed, at least when the next season starts. So far there's no word of that. I guess season three is IT.

Didn't someone post an interview somewhere that it was stated that they were signed on for another 3? I read it off from this forum for sure.

His growth during season 2 was pretty substantial (even if people think that he went against it in the finale) and if they were to meet now... well it would be different. I think the main part with Song is that she opened the possibility of a possible love interest touching his scar. And the fact Song was even that close is significant. I saw those rumors, but I believe that they were proven false, just like mass amounts of other rumors. xD The fanbase creates a variety of lies.

I believe it was a misinterpretation of the interviewer and that the three seasons the creators were talking of were the three already produced (or mostly produced).

She would have been good for him if he wasn't so selfish and took that animal thing at that end.

I think it's safe to say I'm Zuko and Song. :3 Song's cute, too. x3
And after that one episode when Zuko stole the emuhorse, it seems like it wasn't the end of Song.

Oooh, I've been waiting for this.
Ok, looking at the Gaang now, they have gained:
Teo - mech/inventor Haru - another earthbender with POW experience and The Duke--who I imagine would make a decent scout.
This is in addition to the Gaang who are all warriors and Katara who works as a makeshift healer.
Eventually, this group is going to need someone to be in charge of healing full time--if Zuko makes it into the Gaang (i.e. survives Katara's wrath), I now think we have a VERY good chance of seeing Song again. Esp. since we've seen all of the Gaang's old allies--though I imagine that The Duke is going to ask about Longshot and Smellerbee and eventually work towards finding them.

I feel sorry for the hate Song has relieved- come on girls, you know your Mary Sues do the exact same thing. But having the scar on the leg was a bad place to pick, it could have been an arm or her back but it was her leg. She was just reaching out to the obviously distant, unhappy boy who shared the same problems as her- just like 99% of every female OC in Avatar fan fiction. But Song was rejected twice or thrice if you count Zuko stealing their ostrich-horse, despite all that Song did or tried to do for him which saves her from being a true Mary Sue. Then again she has such a short appearance it's hard to judge. She didn't even get a bio on Nick.com, the (talking) hippies did instead.

The lack of Song love has always disappointed me. She comes nowhere near being a Mary Sue: she doesn't bend, she's fairly plain compared to the rest of the cast (not that she isn't pretty, she just isn't an exotic beauty like most of the cast), she doesn't make Zuko swoon the instant he sees her--she had to work hard to become the excellent healer that she is. She has suffered pain and loss, yet she doesn't let the bitterness rule her life as Zuko did--she was the perfect parallel to Zuko in that respect--he was just too stubborn and scared to understand at the time.
Song is probably the most normal and well-adjusted character on the show. Now that Zuko has figured himself out, I think it'd be perfect timing for her to return--she saved Iroh's life, for crying out loud, she deserves a slightly bigger role.
I don't get it though--what's wrong with her scar being on her leg? I'm pretty sure the fanbrats would have called her a h0r if she had removed her jacket to show him a scar on her back.
LOL, they already called her that just for trying to reach out to Zuko.

LOL, they already called her that just for trying to reach out to Zuko. You know how ladies pull back their dress to show off their leg? That's the idea. When I said the scar could be on her back instead I only meant that she could lift the bottom of her shirt to show it, not remove her hanbok and shirt.
