I'm just upset she bloodbended a nobody!! I expected it, but it doesn't make it any less disappointing. But I did lov ethe look on Zuko's face! It may be my favorite yet!
Does anyone have screenies to share yet? I'm looking forward to those!

I like Katara, but I don't understand why she was so angry in the last 10 episodes. I know it was nice to know about her mom dieing for to protect her...but still she seemed really pms-ish and she wasn't herself at all... Zuko betrayed her, and that betrayal nearly cost Aang's life. That sort of thing is not easy to forgive, especially for someone like her. She held her hand out and got burned. It doesn't seem entirely out of character for her at all--she's very protective of those she cares about.

I understand that, but even after she forgave zuko, she still seemed full of anger...Its like the creators made her try to deal with her past pains in order to mature, but they really rushed it to where we didn't really get a chance to see the newly matured good spirited katara. I felt kinda ripped off.

Well loseing a love one in by which Katara's Mother was lost when there was no need...it always going to be hard to forgive someone in any means and it never perfect on how they show there emotions...She was still mad that the guy...still She learn from it and was able to see clearly both emotionaly and mentaly.

She's a jerk, I hate her. Honestly, I don't see what Aang sees in her.

How is she a jerk? She seems perfectly normal to me.

I'd tap that.
ER. YEAH. But no, seriously, she isn't a jerk. Her personality might be a tad-bit annoying sometimes, and during some episodes it might have been forced, but overall, she's a realistic person. Yeah, she's fine in terms of "Jerk"'ism.

She's overly protective, and cares about the ones she loves. That's not being a jerk.

Katara is the most admirable of the "Gaang," I should think. Her only real problem was when she went after her mother's murderer--it was understandable, but disappointing nontheless. She of all people should have known better.

^^Well like the creators mentioned in their commentary, grief is a very personal thing which is different for everybody. If someone had killed your parent, child or anyone especially close to you, your head may tell you that revenge is wrong but your heart may tell you a different story. I think Sokka was too young when his mother died so her death didnt effect him in the same way as it did Katara.

Too young? Katara's the one younger than Sokka. I'd say the reason Katara feels it more and Sokka feels it less is because for the past seven or however many years since Kya was murdered, Katara's had to replace essentially take over her mother's role in the family, bringing much needed stability. Sokka benefited from her stepping up, and was able to move on some, but Katara being forced to "grow up" kept her from doing the same.

^^ Well theyre only a year a part and boys are said to mature more slowly than girls. Still, fair point. I think another reason Katara is more bitter about it could be sub-conscious guilt. I think part of Katara felt that if she had run faster for Hakoda or done something differently that day, Kya might not have died. Of course no one would ever blame Katara for what happened but its not so hard to imagine her feeling responsible since she was the last family member to see her mother alive.
