My parents are okay with Avatar. I can pretty much tell them everything that's going on in the show and they'll listen (at least halfway).
I did go through a period where they didn't want me to watch it because we were christain, it didn't follow a lot of our beliefs, and they always taught me that you should be careful what you watch because it does influence you greatly. But after a while they saw that it wasn't that bad and my dad actually said that he actually like the history and theories behind the show.
So now they encourage me to watch it without them having to watch it.

Hey, if it weren't for my dad, I'd never have watched Avatar in the first place! He told me over the phone when I called him "Hey, have you ever seen Avatar? We all watch it, and love it." (my parents are divorced, so there's no confusion) He really likes it. I got my mom into it too, and my brothers both like it. So, yup. We're all Avatards together

My parents don't mind. Well, my dad teases me sometimes, but he does that no matter what I'm watching(unless its the history channel or something else he also likes). My mom thinks it's a bit weird(like most the stuff I like) but realizes that Avatar has a actual plot. She knows I can't stand stories without decent plots and well rounded characters.

I dislike it when religion opposes these fantasy programs/books/films etc. The Pope said that Harry Potter was satanic, when it in fact introduced so many kids to reading Sorry... a bit off-topic I watch Avatar on the computer anyway, so my parents have never seen it

They passively watch it if I'm home and have it on the television. Sometimes they recognize if it is a rerun. They sort of roll their eyes at it, but they understand I love the show. I got the last two box sets as Christmas and birthday presents respectively.

My parents are okay with it. When it first came out, i saw it, and i was all like to my mom,"omg theres this cool new show on Nick called Avatar the last air bender! Its the only good thing on there!" She was like, okay. cool." I would then tell my dad, and explain the plot line he'd be like, Okay, then 3 monthes later i'd be talking about the next eppisode with my sis or something and he'd was all like, "What are you 2 talking about?"... we'd say, That show Avatar we watch."He'd forget what i told him a couple of monthes ago and yeah.
My mom would continuely ask when the next eppi's are coming on. She didnt watch it but just wondered. Now since i make AMV's and show them to her, she's more interested and yeah. I watched the "blind Bandit"With her. She thought it was good and wants to see more. I'm glad. So me and my sis are trying to explain more about the show to her.

my sis is just like "whatever, noone cares" and yet she watches the shows new epis, and is on here (*once every like 4 monthes!*) but even after a new epi, i try to talk about it and its awsomeness and she's already switched shows! I dotn get it...she's like a fake fan? I dunno. But my parents think its just strange. Even though now that Ive started making sigs their more interested in what im making them of. my dad thinks its just sooo awsome that i can make graphics myself.^^

He sits on his Equus asinus all day preaching a false religion. XD I still watch alone. My dad never actually takes the time to watch the episodes closely. He likes to interupt by making comments on how weird something looks or what they say.

My parents don't really give a dang. Hey, what can I say? They just really don't care that much anymore ((at least that I know of)).

Really? I'm an adult (19) too but I still care about my parents...er, well at least my mom. I'll always have my sister and mom watch the new episodes of Avatar. And when Heroes comes through Netflix we'll watch that too. My dad watches Judge Judy, Today Show, and Project Runway...ok so we all watch Project Runway but who can resist it? Just sooo fierce!
