Ok I apologize I have just watched the making of Avatar and guess they do say that Stroyboards scetches etc. are sent to Korea for the final anmimation to be done. For some reason I thought said Japan when watched it before. And when watched the one with M. Night Shalaman does not say anything about it only really talk about the live action movie he is making based on the show.

If Avatar were an anime, they'd have a different opening for every season, with a spotlight moment on the main characters, and cooler music.

Hey... those are unfair assumptions! I know a lot of anime that don't do any of those things. ...And Bryke was clear that they used MANY anime references! Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Miyazaki's stuff...

In my opinion if avatar was realy an anime all would be diffrent is where it came from. It could seriously pass off as anime and ive heard many people call it anime even though its not.

It's just some fun poking and prodding. I'm sure that the people making the most 'assumptions' are the people who watch the most anime, hahaha.
-there would be a LOT more relationship crap if Avatar were really an anime -Aang would angst to an annoying degree about how miserable he is about disappearing for 100 years. And he'd do it every episode. Every. Episode. -Zuko would angst about his mom and dad every episode. Every. Episode. Including the ones he's not really supposed to show up in. -Aang and Appa would probably be able to talk to each other through mindspeak. Same with Momo. -Appa is actually a space robot alien creature and can transform into a Gundam-like fighting machine. Momo is his gun. -Toph would have glasses, despite being blind. -Sokka would angst about not being able to bend every other episode. If he cried about EVERY episode, after all, he couldn't be seen as the 'funny character.' -Ozai would always have dramatic shadows on his face. Even in direct sunlight. -Iroh would have made Zuko do really ridiculous training rituals, like push-ups with one hand while upside-down and balancing Iroh on his feet.

-Ty Lee would have pink hair -Jet would have had a bigger story time to tell his life story -We would have seen what REALLY happened to Long Feng
And, for all you Naruto fans: Toph would SO have the Byakugan

- Toph, despite being blind, would be able to see things flying in the air without reason
No Toph/Byakugan jokes!!!
I hate it when people compare Toph and the Hyuuga family. Toph is blind, the Hyuuga family just looks blind. In fact, the H family's eyesight is so good, they can see through walls!!!!

Yeah, but for a lot of people, Hinata reminds them of Toph for some reason. Must be the similar coloring.
anyway,
If Avatar were an anime, we would've reached episode 100 by now, and it would've been a special party even in which all the characters would come back, including Zhao and have ate and drank while Zuko tried to unsuccessfully kill Aang through food poisening.
If Avatar were an anime, Zuko's story wouldn't have been resolved yet.
If Avatar were an anime, Katara would have an "inner Katara" XD
If Avatar were an anime, there'd be WAY more fanservice than just, "The Beach".
If Avatar were an anime, the boys would be disporportionately sinewy.

If Avatar were an Anime there would be scenes of unexplained screaming.
If Avatar were an Anime, every other word of anybodies mouth would be another characters name
If Avatar was an Anime obscene amounts of blood would be shed, even when no one is fighting.
If Avatar was an Anime, Ozai would have died and come back ten times, run away four hundred and come back a million times stronger each time.
If Avatar was an anime, it would be made by Koei, and Aang would have to fight Lu Bu, Honda Tadakatasu and Orochi, to get to Ozai.

If Avatar were an anime, we would know details of the plot long before episodes aired in the USA, and episodes would be available online before on tv.
Oh, wait a minute...

I only read to about page 18, so forgive me if I repeat something mentioned later than that page ^^; If Avatar were an anime... - Katara and Toph would hit Aang and Sokka's heads A LOT whenever they did something weird. And those red anime bumps would probably appear too. - Sokka would've had several consecutive episodes aangsting about how useless he thinks he is and have a chance to prove himself wrong by fighting some random guy that apparently 'kidnapped his sister as a baby' or 'humiliate his father in battle a long time ago'- Their heads would be bigger, much bigger(yeah, no one mentioned that in the first 18 pages) - Toph's hair probably wouldn't be in a large bun; it'd either be down or tied in a puny bun that is later revealed to unrealistically reach her ankles - Aang would probably look like this when he fights the firelord: img503.imageshack.us/img503/7499/vlcsnap70408wt5.png- The Kyoshi warriors wouldn't have face painting on for the fear of them not being attractive enough - There would be a lot of scenes involving two charcters staring at each other for 5 minutes - If KataraXAang was cannon at the end, Aang wouldn't of been the one crushing on Katara; it would've definetly been the other way around(if it was anime)

Let's see... Annoying traits of anime? -Aang and Zuko would probably be rivals... but that would mean that even when they joined forces, they'd still yell at each other (Besides the one episode in which they compliment each other the whole time) and at the very end, they'd have a fight just to see who would win. This fight would do nothing except try to look cool. -At least one character will have an attack capable of destroying the world. This will probably happen at some point. Of course, then there will be a deus ex machina to bring it back. -Everything's cooler in space. Especially fights. -Aang would have at least two supposedly super powerful attacks that work once, and then are completely useless afterwards. -There would be tons of legends and prophecies that would all come true. There would be tons of dreams of the past that are completely accurate. -Mysterious characters would always be standing on a pole or something. Jet, The Painted Lady even the Blue Spirit -Whenever Sokka gets dejected, he curls up in a fetal position in the corner. -Toph would be half monster. Perhaps badger, mole or bat. (Actually, that would be pretty cool!) -Hyperspace Arsenal. Expect fans and hammers. -An important offscreen death would occur, and the only evidence to it would be the blood on Zuko's sword as he walks into the distance at the end of the episode. -There would be a character who's Aang's chronological age AND biological age. In other words, a kid that's older than Iroh.
Now, to be fair... the reason why not many positive anime stereotypes have been mentioned in this thread is that they're already in Avatar. Think about it, they picked and chose what they liked from anime, and what they didn't. So it's only reasonable that we haven't found any positive anime stereotypes to add.
