Personally, I give I have to say this season finale wasn't completely satisfying. I thought for sure this would fill every gap left in the story and answer every lingering question. The future of every character at the end was not discussed in the detail it should have. There was just too much story in so short a time. It felt, rushed... So I rate this finale a 5, just "acceptable" . This is considering that there is no Book 4 or any kind of sequel season... PLEASE! Do not rate based on whether the ship you support came to pass. Believe me, as a Toko fan, I wasn't happy with Zuko ending up with Mai, but I did not allow this to influence my rating.

You kidding? I thought the book two season finale was pretty epic!! Not as amazing as tonight finale, but I thought it was great.
We're including both: The Guru and Crossroads of Destiny right? I reallly LOVED the guru aspect, because it was meaningful and spiritual, and his time with Guru Pathik raised a spiritual dilemma that many monks face even today. Like detaching from worldly concern, while you reach spiritual enlightenment you pay at a price from disconnecting yourself to other. Oh and this was the first time you saw toph metal bend, it was EPIC!!
The Crossroad of Destiny was great in the sense that we can see the inner conflict that Zuko still face, and the conflict with aang that he had with himself. And heck I thought they left of on a GREAT hangcliffer. I thought the opening of season 3 was ackward and random because many fans didn't know there was a comic that filled in the gap and was canonical.
EDIT OH YOU CHANGED IT TO SEASON 3 NOW?!
Haha Okay okay!!! I thought overall the season finale was great. I thought the voice actor captured the emotion of their characters in all of the scene very well. The music was SUPERB!! The transition between each part was great, the transition between 1 and 2 was a bit awkward and random though.
I wish there was a little more spiritual speech in the finale, but thats just me, I geek over those type of thing. I thought with in the first episode Zuko could of talked more about his family at the beach house. I also wish the old masters, especially Iroh, as well Katara got a little more action. Oh and I wish Jeong Jeong talked a little more, and made some remark to Zuko.
My biggest complaint is the hangcliffer, they just left too much plotholes out in the open. I was a little annoyed by the Ursa one, but assuming their going to make a spinoff movie, it was fine with me.
BUT I was a little annoyed that we didn't know the fate of Azula. The whereabout of the Earth King. The wellbeing of Longshot and SmellerBee. Just little things, that was worth importanting bring closure too even if its just a 2-3 second shot of of them.
Overall I gave this episode a A-, I thought they ended the story of aang perfectly, on a light note of hope as Katara and Aanged kiss. I'm glad they didn't have any epilogue, I think that would of brought about more rabid fandorks.

Well im a Tokka fan and I gave it 10/10 but it was actually cranked up to 11! Everything was perfect the acting, music, writting, animation there was humour, romance, heartwarming moments and of course the most intense action yet everything we all love about avatar I cant think of a single moment I didnt like.

I gave it a 6...it was good, but not great. The animation was wonderful and some scenes were truly magical...the Zuko/Iroh reunion, Dante almost had me in tears there, and I don't cry easily...but some of the plot points, and some of the missing plot points...it just felt a bit...hollow...somehow...
It didn't leave me feeling empty like The Crossroads of Destiny though...I'll happily watch my DVD when it arrives (I STILL haven't watched the final Earth DVD).

I cried through almost the entire 2 hours, so I have to give it a 10. There were some things that could have been better (Like, I couldn't understand anything the Lion-turtle was saying), but overall I loved everything. The music was amazing and fitting, the fight scenes were incredible and intense, and the character scenes were touching and/or shocking. I liked that the conclusion was open-ended too -- like the journey for all the characters isn't over; they still have things to do. Just this chapter of their life is over. It's a happy ending without the "and they lived happily ever after because after this story their lives were dull and boring and nothing else ever happened' finality. If it wasn't for all of my tearbending, I probably would have given it a 9 because Katara didn't do as much kickarse waterbending as she could have. Although maybe TSR was supposed to make up for that? Hm. Still, it's definitely my favorite finale.

Nothing's perfect, but (counting this as one ep) this was the single greatest episode of Avatar, or any animated television, so I don't see how I can give it any less than a 10.

Yup! ^^ I didn't really get it until I saw the finale, but Zuko's personal journey throughout the series is really something.

As mush as I loved this, I gave it a 9/10. I know nothing's perfect, but the whole Ursa cliffhanger just made it a step down from a 10. If they weren't going to reveal her location, then I would have preferred them not showing the scene in prison where Zuko asks his father where his mother is. And the Lion Turtle was kind of weird, with the whole talking business. Even it's animation was really different from everything else.
