That was just someone whining. Calling M&B worst story-tellers ever? That's a laugh. I honestly don't see how they could just turn on Avatar like that. I understand dissatisfied fans, but that person acted like an immature brat who didn't get their candy. Look at all the people who enjoyed avatar without their reasons.

I gave it a 9. It was great, I was sobbing practically the entire time, but there were a few little things that bugged me, like the random lion turtle. Not only was he tough to understand, but it was so completely insane that I had to stop and figure out what had happened. Other than that, it was brilliant! I've watched it about 5 times now, and I still haven't gotten enough!!!!

I gave it a 10 because of the apt description: Wouldn't have ended Avatar any other way!!!
That's really it for me. There is nothing that I or the majority of the fans could have done to improve upon it. It did what needed to be done and that was to show Aang defeating Ozai and realize his role as Avatar. The rest was just icing on the cake, from Iroh finally taking Bah Sing Se to Zuko finally set right to Azula's turn to insanity.
So there's a few loose threads, however, that just allows for opportunities for spin-offs. The problem with creating a universe is that you have all the problems associated with said universe like the Kevin Bacon factor (every person on the face of the earth alive today has six degrees of separation or less from the famous actor Kevin Bacon). Do we really want to hear the story about JimBob, a backwoods farmer who happens to get his cabbages from the unfortunate merchant? Besides, most of these loose threads are, in the long run, inconsequential to the story. Flavorful, yes, but not really a true driving force for the characters.

gave it "awesome ending"..and the only reason i gave it that was b/c there were some loose ends that i would have liked to know about.. -location of Ursa -what they did w/ Azula.. -what will happen when it gets back to the air nomads... what happens to the Avatar then??? but overall... i loved how it ended.., the whole gaang at ba sing se w/ iroh and his "Jasmine Dragon" tea shop. ;D and not to mention the most passionate kiss seen on avatar at the end. very appropriate Mike & Bryan. ^_^

I think it was really well done, sure there are some things I wish would happen, but overall it was a very good end to a wonderful series. Well done Mike, Bryan and avatar crew. : D

That person on DA is an idiot who whines over some of the most irrelivant point i've ever heard! The only point that makes a bit sence is the Lion turtle. It kinda came out of nowhere. That he dislikes the ending is fine but it is a serious insult to say that the dbgt ending was better. He should be Lynched for that I really enjoyed the ending, even when not everything was made clear. The action scenes where awsome and the main story line came to an epic yet acspectable conclusion. I really liked seeing Azula slipping into insanity and being consumed by her power. It gave me 92 awesome minutes.

^Actually the Lion turtle was briefly mentioned in the Library.
Courtesy of someone who brought up that point (Sorry I forgot who).

I gave it a 10 and wouldn't have ended it another way, maybe something with Ursa though. I really loved it, it was more than I thought it would be and met my expectations fully. It was made they way it was suppost to be made and I respect that.

Although I gave it an 8, I agree with this person 100%! I just couldn't go any lower because the bending was phenominal , and even with all the open stuff it was really awesome! Although I can add to this list of complaints: I'd love to know about Toph's parents. She sent them a letter, did it get to them, are they proud of thier daughter? I'm pretty ticked off we didn't get to see Iroh do more butt kicking, although I did love the little bit of bending we did see him do. And I will be forever pi$$ed that they didn't let Zuko defeat Azula, or shoot lightning! What was Hakoda doing during the invasion, I wanted to see more of the non-benders doing their part. I'm pretty peeved that nothing more was stated about Zuko's relationship to Roku!!! That's kinda a big deal. I am foaming at not seeing Koh, I'm not counting the 10 seconds he was on, that just sucked. Oh and let's NOT get started about Iroh's journey into the spirit world, I do believe they said we'd learn more about that. And no dragons? WTF? Ya just put them in one eppie to tease us? That's not nice man, not at all! I'm sure I have more to b!tch about, but I'll need to watch it again, which I will not complain about! I do have one more complaint, which was touched upon elsewhere, it's not exactly a shipping thing, but I won't start on it here. What i did love was the bending, oh it was lovely! Zuko/Iroh's reunion made me cry, and I don't cry much, it was so touching. I was glad to see Zuko like that, it showed how much he was really hurting! The whole "beach party" thing was just great, I think I laughed through that whole scene. Toph's metal suit was the sh!t!! And she's learned sand bending! What can't this girl do, I love her!! I'm happy we got to see Jun, but it wasn't nearly enough. I'm happy we saw Hakoda, again, not nearly enough of him though. Seeing all the Masters was wonderful, I just love Bumi, "Welcome to old people camp"!!!! The Agni Kai was perfect, the music was wonderful, but sad, and the bending was gorgeous! Zuko was perfect in this, I've never been prouder, but ya all know my gripe so I won't repeat it. I think the Agni Kai was my favorite part of the whole thing, I had waited so long to see it! So even if I was disappointed by that one BIG thing, it was still awesome! Zuko said Aang, lime 4 times! I almost fainted! He said Katara too. I was amazed, and happy. Sokka was perfect through out! I was happy that one of his little plans actually worked. His humor was spot on in this one, and I can't think of any really cheesy remarks made. Overall I was very happy, but with all that was left open-ended, I just could not bring myself to give it a 10.

I'm very pleased with the ending the fight scenes were awesome I enjoyed the character interactions the bit with Zuko asking for Iroh's forgiveness was touching I also enjoyed how Toph wanted to go on an adventure with Zuko and started to tell him her life story while searching for Aang I actually thought the lion turtle was pretty cool and was happy that Mike and Bryan left some things open ended I remember when I read the epilogue for Harry Potter and I felt like there really wasn't anything left for the fans to come up with

I have to say I give this episode a 9/10, the best special I think I have ever seen on Television, but, as all things are, is not completely perfect.
However, the fact that the worst we can come up with are simple nitpicks and matters of personal opinion coughshipscough, is something to be said to M&B! Personally, I really loved these episodes, and personally the only legitimate complaint I can think of is the lack of Koh. Saying that, the epicness of the Avatar Finale far surpassed my expectations.
The Agni Kai was my favorite part; the beauty that was the music and the firebending and Azula's insanity were all perfectly balanced here, and make for my personal favorite fight in the entire series.
Also, seeing the words The End in Avatar Calligraphy followed by the full length credits with a completely orchestrated version of the main theme nearly made me cry.
To end my review, congrats and kudos to M&B for giving us an spectacular ending to an equally spectacular series.
