The official policy, as outlined in the infomercial he aired Wednesday, is that those making less than $200,000 a year will recieve a tax cut. Evidently certain factors forced him to renegotiate his economic plan.

I hear Obama wants to give tax breaks to the middle class. You know what that sounds like to me? That sounds like SOCIALISM.

No, socialism would be giving the workers control over the means of production or, essentially, democratizing a company or an industry or even an economy. And if you're gonna call Obama socialist, you might as well call McCain one, too, since they both voted in favor of the $700 billion economic rescue package, which is being used to buy up stock in failing banks on the understanding that the American people will get a return off of the investment.

You know I dont think anyone is fully aware of how long it would take for one single man to turn the entire nation into a socialist network.
Its not gonna be like "And Barack Obama is now the president of the United Sta... oh dang now we are socialist."
Checks and balances pl0x.

I think your sarcasm meter is broken.

I think your sarcasm meter is broken. I wouldn't say that. It's more like I never had good sarcasm radar or "ra-sar" to begin with. Or would it be "sar-dar?"

Obama mentioned my great-grandmother in his acceptance speech. I was extremely pumped (still am). On a different note: Because of his win, the KKK is apparently rallying downtown in our city tonight. (It's raining all day today, so serves them right )...

Well, much like civil rights leaders can't believe they would live to see this day, bitter racists can't believe they would live to see this day.
Shame, really.

Wait, Rachel - is your great-grandmother Ann Nixon Cooper?! Because if so, I want you to tell her how amazing she is, and give her a hug for me next time you see her! I love her and her spunk (I saw an interview with her on ABC News yesterday, she's sharp as a tack!).

^ Seriously? I was just going to ask that, too. That's cool. XD Congrats, woohoo... and I am still wiped out from this week's events. >.< Good to see a new era, where smart is in. Maybe now No Child Left Behind will be repealed in favor of something that actually works instead of dragging the whole educational system down even further.

It is truly a shame that Martin Luther King Jr. wasn't alive to see this. Much the same, it's good that that the race terrorists are mostly gone.
