I hope that the new dragon is either gold or green!! It's green, and it's going to Arya. I hope Paolini actually tries to be- what's that word- oh yeah: creative or original; make Orik the new dragon rider. But we all know he won't be.

Because we have read other books and there is nothing orignal or novel in Paolini's work. it is derivitive to the Nth degree. of course its going to Arya because Paolini wants to sleep with Arya, of course its going to be green because elves revere nature (dont they always) and nature is green.

ooo, how do you know all of these things? I've read articles about what will be in the final book. The final dragon will be green and will be on the book's cover. * The content of the cover is one of the few things confirmed by Paolini. The cover will feature an emerald green dragon looking to the right.[3]
In March of 2006, Christopher Paolini was interviewed by Mike Macauley of the website www.shurtugal.com and he revealed the following information:[4]
* When a dragon and a Rider become linked, the Rider's magic immediately turns into the color of that dragon's scales. * At the end of Eldest, the Varden still favor Nasuada in terms of leadership, but Paolini has hinted that in book 3 this might change. * Paolini also mentioned that in Book 3 it will be revealed if Saphira ever finds a mate. * More information about Tornac (Murtagh's old friend and trainer) will be revealed. * Elva, along with "every other character," will have an important role to play.
Paolini answered some questions for his fans on his official site in July and August 2006[5] and gave a video interview in December 2006 to promote the movie.[6]
* It is unclear how Thorn, Murtagh's dragon, matured to rival Saphira despite their age difference, but Christopher Paolini has stated that it will be revealed in the third book of the trilogy. * The nature of the spirits that sorcerers summon will be revealed; already it has been stated that they are not the souls of sentient creatures returned from the afterlife.
According to Eldest, Eragon and Saphira have given their oath to return to the elves for further training in the ancient language.
In February 2007, Paolini answered an Open Letter of the Czech fan site Alagaesie.net. He answered the following questions regarding Book 3 of the Inheritance Trilogy:[7]
* Information about Brom's lover (referred to by Angela) will be revealed. * Eragon has yet to acquire the new weapon referred to in the first book, wherein Solembum said, "When the time comes and you need a weapon, look under the roots of the Menoa tree". * Eragon has yet to visit the Vault of Souls and speak his name to obtain his increased power, as instructed by Solembum also in the first book: "Then, when all seems lost and your power is insufficient, go to the rock of Kuthian and speak your name to open the Vault of Souls". * More about dwarf culture will be revealed. * Ajihad's back-story will be revealed. * More of Arya's background will be revealed. * The reason for which Selena, Eragon's mother, left Urû-Baen and came to Carvahall, then disappeared, will be revealed. As a Rider's magic changes to that of their dragons' it is only more "foreshadowing" that Arya's magic is "ironically" already green. Eragon had a dream in which a man (he) is boarding a ship with other (beautiful) people (elves) with an unseen woman (Arya), a man (Roran) is left on shore where he cries out, and two dragons (Saphira and the green one) are overhead. This is Eragon leaving Alagaesia to never return (a la Tolkein) as foretold by Angela, a fate which is unavoidable. Not only do I know this because of Wikipedia and reliable sources but because Paolini is as subtle as a man sneaking around under a cardboard box (like Snake only nowhere near as comical or amusing). Dur, I wonder if Eragon and Arya will get together it's been going on since Eragon's Gary Stu dream of her in book one (with a single diamond tear) and foretold in the anticlimactic fortunetelling. Pardon my sarcasm, but Paolini is a worse storyteller than Brom and thousands of times more arrogant to believe all the BS of him being a nearly 24 year old child prodigy. The moron is writing with a quill, his final book (which will be longer than even the monstrous Eldest) is being written with a quill to capture the ancient feeling- while also listening to an ipod.

Wait, where did you here he was writing it with a quill. I kind of doubt that.

Oh. My. God. As if three books wasn't enough, now CP is going to be writing a FOURTH one. When will this nightmare end!

Oh. My. God. As if three books wasn't enough, now CP is going to be writing a FOURTH one. When will this nightmare end! I was surprised to find out that this is acutally true and not just a rumor. Ugh. Apparantly he needs more than 1 more book to tie up all the loose ends. I dunno, JK Rowling had way more loose ends than Paolini does and she did a good enough job tying them up in one book. I think its less "too many loose ends" as it is "too much random crap that I think would be cool to throw in"

That manuscript is going to look messy as hell. Personally I dont mind the Eragon trilogy. They're, for the most part, children's books and so my expectations of them having complex plots and extensive character development are a little lower than novels for much older readers.

I dont get how he can have a fourth book. I mean, Return of the Jedi was just one movie.

I dont get how he can have a fourth book. I mean, Return of the Jedi was just one movie. It's sad 'cause it's true. >_< I was so disappointed in these books. And I could forgive the first book not being the best quality because he started writing it so young, but his newer book shows no improvement or originality. Le sigh... and now he's making another one.
