First: WTF Syara is red now? At this rate I should be purple in ten years no time.
Second:
XII was annoying. I did not like the gambit system. I really wanted a true FF ARPG, but I doubt we'll be getting a good one from Square soon. I can always fall back on KH and KH2, though.
FFTA and FFTA2 are both terrible timesinks that are nowhere near as good as the original Tactics. If you have the option, avoid buying the two Nintendo Tactics installments... Stories are bad, and that's really the main merit of RPGs... Otherwise it's a grind to see how quickly you get bored of doing idiotic quests.

I'm getting kind of tired of FFVII. They just keep dragging it out. And it's the only FF that's been given this kind of attention. I think it needs to be laid to rest before it gets crappy.

I want it to be remade for the DS (Hell, they've done everything up to 6 now, I believe, at least for Nintendo handhelds). Aside from that, I am ready for them to stop redoing it. I'd like to see some more from the FFIX universe myself.

@hok: That only makes it more annoying, which was the intention, I think. xD
I thought XII was interesting. I can't say I really liked the license point/gambit system all that much, but the characters, plot, and dialogue are probably my favorite as far as Final Fantasy games go.

I kinda liked the License Board, which reminds the die-hard fans of X's Sphere Grid. But why add the dang equipment? That wasn't my favorite part of it.
I took a liking to the Gambit system a bit because I didn't constantly have to press X, select Attack, then a target. (Attack and Cura were the only two Gambits I put on xD)

A lot of people hated the Sphere Grid system but it really isn't that hard to figure out. I liked it because it was a twist to gaining experience.

^It was as much of a piece of cake as VIII's Junction system. (to me, anyway) It wasn't that hard to figure out, people.

FFX10
As awkward as the game is I think spira kicks @$$. and the main character is a small part of a dream of a city that's been destroyed!!! I wish he looked more like a guy but I wish that about all of the final fantasy characters. Plus a bittersweet ending. I wish I could pick something else because the combat sucks but the combat is the same for all of them. Lets put it this way though, if the game actually had GOOD combat instead of standing in a row and you can skip cut-scenes this would be my favorite game ever..........in fact if the core of Peter Molenuex's one button approach to combat were taken to FFX and it were re-made right now I would probably buy a PS3 for it if necisary.

Auron was the only thing that made that game good. Right now my favorite FF is Crisis Core for the PSP. That game was just too good. The story and gameplay were just great. Zack was an awesome character (meaning he was way better than Cloud imo). Although Cloud was pretty awesome in this game as well (for a side character).

ehh. If a game is good already, taking out an element that ruined the expierience and replacing it with one that made it enhanced would make a game great. Why do you think Gears of War did so good? They had no glaring flaws that I can think of and added a new duck and cover system. and a lack of that duck and cover system didn't ruin these games. I don't think they would of been recognized as such without the cover system. I wanted to play the game in gears of war and had an "oh,if I have to" feeling about watching the cutscenes, I didn't try to skip them though . in final fantasy I actually liked it when the cutscenes took over until I saw the same one 5 times which wouldn't happen if the combat was skill based . While FFXII is claimed to have new combat, the way it's been explained to me the creators have managed to make it even worse than it already was which is pretty sad.
BTW, Auron did kick @$$ , Maybe instead of FX-2 existing they could've had a prequal about braska jecht and auron with everything that happened leading to the beginning of FFX...

Mine was, and still is, FF6. I just like the graphics of it better than any other FF I've ever played. Though with III finally coming stateside on November 14, I may change my tune, but for the time being it's 6. Although, now that I've had time to think it over, I do like the first 6 Final Fantasy games the best. Mostly because, to me, from VII on, Final Fantasy just picked up way too much story and features for it's own good.

Ok, people I've decided that it's time I tried this game since everyone LOVES it, so what does the original FF7 cost, where could I get it, and are there any girls with more than 15 seconds of screen time who wear almost NO clothes, (because my parents are likely to come into the room once in a blue moon and I'm pretty much embarassed with any game that was obviously made in japan and nudity will make it worse. ), and is it playable on the PS one, ps2, or nintendo 64? And if anyone mentions crysis core so help me I'll have the guy from this www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZCvWcpXFJg video talk to you!!!

Maybe less if you get it used. Get it from any store that sells PSX games, they'll have it. Most Final Fantasies have main female characters and VII is no exception. The graphics are so old that the half naked girls look like blocks. PSX only. Wow you must have been under a rock if you didn't know that. This is coming from a non-FFVII tard. Although that guy has some valid points and was pretty funny at times because some of it I agreed with, I still think FFVII-CC was a great prequel.

Ouch. *Cries at lack of ability to order PSX games from the ebgames website. * And I was aware of that. If it wasn't there'd be a reason for me not to try to get the game. I was asking if they were naked.eh, I just (2 minutes ago) decided to looks for some-in game footage of FF7 and disagree that it really matters that the graphics aren't advanced. If people played the original tomb raider and called it sexual there's no way that this game wouldn't be sexual. sadly I can't find any cutscenes and if those are any more advanced than the original pac man and are still unskippable I'm going to slaughter the first person ever to incorporate unskippable cutscenes. I mean, half the reason I'm getting the game is for the story but if my dad's coming in the room I'll just suck it up and read a plot synopsis on some strange website or make repeated saves ingame so I'll just have to play it again..... ps: Also, I'm assuming the PSX is Ps one because I've never ****ing heard of that console, EVER, not even offhandedly on a game show telling the history of gaming consoles, and whenever I try to find something for psx it's a game that exists on the psone. and my cheat code website here www.gamewinners.com/noframes.htm that has pretty much every console in existance in it's databanks doesn't mention any psx.
